I bought a new cordless drill and discovered its battery pack didn’t slide in smoothly, it clicked but felt loose. After glancing at the parts list, I realized I’d gotten a slightly different series than advertised. A quick shim with electrical tape fixed the fit, and it runs as good as new now.

I bought a heavy-duty workbench online, but when it arrived, one of the legs was slightly shorter so it wobbled like a wonky porch before a rainstorm. I drilled in adjustable feet from a hardware store to level it out. Later, I looked up other user fixes and stumbled on a thread titled https://kobalt.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html (not to reach out, but for honest comments). Many folks described DIY hacks for misfit parts, warped surfaces, or unclear tolerances.
