I’ve used both, and credit unions feel more personal to me. They take time to understand your needs, which was great when I applied for a car loan. Banks, on the other hand, have the edge when it comes to convenience, especially with ATMs and digital banking options everywhere.

I switched from a bank to a credit union last year, and it’s been a great decision. Credit unions often offer better loan terms and lower fees, which really helped when I refinanced my car. Plus, the service feels more personal. For example, I’ve heard good things about Freedom Credit Union customer service https://www.pissedconsumer.com/company/freedom-credit-union/customer-service.html , especially when dealing with loans or account setups. If you travel often, a bank might offer better accessibility with more branches and ATMs nationwide.
