Hey, /fit/.
I've been on a journey to get a body that won't disgust me whenever I glance over a mirror, for at least 2 years or more.
I have gotten to the point where I can do the traditional lifts properly without any problems whatsoever, the thing is this, I have not improved my physique nor my strenght by much. I have lost weight, at least 10 kilos, but that was in the first year of my journey.
Now I am starting to believe that I will not get out of skinny-fat hell without a golden diet. The problem is that I can't get much money nor much food due to the shitfest that is the currency of my country.
If anybody with the same problem could give some advice in terms of diet and money management, it would be appreciated.
Also Diet thread, I suppose.
TL;DR
I am a poorfag and I don't want to be skinny-fat anymore. Give me a good, but cheap, diet.

Are you saying that your financial situation is as such that you are relying on poverty foods such as flatbread fried in vegetable oil to get yourself fed?
How about beans? Can you get those in bulk?

More food = more potential gainz
Buy a big-ass bag of dried black beans and a big-ass bag of rice and then other stuff you can afford. Beans and rice are cheap and nutritious, but you need some other stuff too.
Consider starting a garden for cheap fruits and veg. Could also keep a chicken or two for eggs. It all depends on your exact situation, but the bottom line is that you're in a tough situation, so in order to get dem gainz, you're going to have to make eating big a priority.

I'll take another approach to my problem, if any of you are able to post a staple cheap diet, that works well, from wherever you are located. It would be greatly appreciated.
I'll see if I can add anything from that list to my own diet.

Not bottom of the line poverty food, but cheap bread and pasta/rice are staples in my "diet". I do not consume any sodas or juice so I can at least cut my spending by a decent amount.
And I do think I can get those in bulks,I just need to search around in the stores.

I am afraid a garden is out of the question, I live in a very dry area of my country and the soil around my home is as dry as concrete, another problem is the fact that I do not have enough space for something like a garden.
And keeping farm animals could be a task hard to achieve due to the problems mentioned above.

Isn't Argentina one of the largest beef producers in the world? Or do they just export it all.
In any case egg and dairy are the go to cheap protein source. I don't know what prices are like in your country but even in my swpl neighborhood fancy cage free organic blah blah blah eggs are maybe $5 a carton thats less than .50c an egg even at the extreme end of expense. Dairy is a little more pricey if you get the good stuff but perhaps still more affordable to you compared to meat.
As another anon noted beans should be very cheap and can provide solid nutrition just don't forget to soak them over night before cooking oh and don't sleep on lentils and other legumes they can make great sides, salads, mashes and soups.

Avoid processed food. Avoid sugar and unnecessary carbs. Don't drink anything but water, or unsweetened coffee/tea if you must. Learn to cook, buy cheaper cuts of meat or in bulk and freeze it. Intermittent fasting may be a good stratagy too.>>147554

Intermittent fasting, everyday.
16 hours of fasting 8 hours to eat 1 whole meal
Near the end of the 16 hours, go lift
By the time you are done lifting it will be time to get some
G A I N S
Drink some whey blended with a banana, greek yogurt, and spinach.
Wait a couple hours than eat an actual meal (consisting of protein, starchy carbs [potatoes, bread, pasta, etc] and fibrous carbs [greens, mushrooms, other veggies, fruit, etc]
Than After you are done with your meal, it's back to fasting for 16 hours
And you start the cycle all over again.
