Anyone have a flexibility routine going on? I've been trying to work on my flexibility a little just in general and also because sometimes I have pains that I feel could be solved by stretching and stuff. I'm not too sure what to do though, what works for you guys?

I had terrible posture and was always hurting myself when lifting. I did yoga twice a week for over a year. Yoga did help with the posture, though I had to supplement some specific stretches and lifts to completely fix it.
Kept hurting myself lifting though. My doc finally figured out that I had low T, he put me on TRT and I don't get hurt nearly as often. When I do, the pain leaves in days where it used to last for weeks or months.

I don't think I'm low T. Maybe but I don't think so.

Dont listen to this guy.
Like joe rogan, he thinks he has a problem that cant be solved by just living a normal life, and wants us to believe that we all have a testosterone deficiency, and going to a (((doctor))) will fix it.
The only things you need to do to maintain flexibility is pretzels. You could also do back bridges if u want extra back strength and mobility.
To get to full pretzels, aim to train once or twice weekly for one minute each side, starting with a towel and gradually move to where you can hold your hands for teo minutes solid.
I dont think people should stretch unless they are working some kink within their bodies. Otherwise it just makes u more susceptible to injuries.

This will correct everything. As i said, you get injured because u were stretching. U have low t probably because you dont have a solid routine, and certain other factors including not reading the stickies are inhibiting you from not being more chad-like.
If you go here:
http://gen.lib.rus.ec/search.php?req=Testosterone&lg_topic=libgen&open=0&view=simple&res=25&phrase=1&column=def
and actually do research (as a good goy do) you will learn that testosterone can EASILY be boosted naturally. Fuck just by taking a cod liver pill twice daily might triple it.
THERE IS NO MAGIC PILL.
Why are people still under that assumption?

I thought the book "Relax into Stretch" helped me out quite a bit. The gist of it is you should hold certain positions for more than 10 minutes. Now I can do a pretty uncomfortable full split. I really should get back into a routine, but I have felt flexible enough for my means.

Every morning I do about thirty minutes of yoga-asana practice on my back porch in the sun. Gets me all limbered up and feeling excellent for the day, like I'm a tiger made out of jello.
>2x sun salutations
>standing on one foot, with the leg back, foot touching the butt and stretching the quads, 2x on both sides for 40 seconds
>another sun salutation
>hero pose, back into fish pose while sitting on my legs still, until my upper back lays on the ground further stretching the quads
>roll over, bring knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around them while laying on my back
>up into butterfly pose
>into garland pose
>camel pose
>calf and shoulder stretch against a wall, in pic related
>three sets of the behind the back pec/shoulder stretch using a broomhandle
>headstand
>scorpion for as long as I can hold it
That's my full routine. It's been about four months now that I've been doing it on a regular basis and I'm still getting flexibility and balance improvements all the time.

Yoga class at the local Y. I didn't think I was low T either, but if you have nagging injuries that take too long to heal like OP, a blood test is $40.

>he has a problem that cant be solved by just living a normal life
T has been dropping across the board for almost 100 years. Is it all lifestyle? I don't think so, because I live and eat cleaner than 98% of people out there. My life revolves around being /fit/, but that didn't do shit for my T levels.

Show me one scientific study that says cod liver oil will boost total T by 100 or more. You can't. This is all made up bullshit.

Ok so if its bullshit then why recommend somebody to take testosterone??
Telling someone to go to the doctor to get a testosterone therapy versus telling someone to read a book to find 8 ways to increase testosterone.
The difference is that by telling someone to try these ways it eases them into a better lifestyle.
Show me a study that shows that by taking testosterone replacement therapy increases testosterone. You wont find one because the industry is about selling someone a magic pill rather than pointing out that it can be dont heathfully and naturally at next to zero dollars.

T isn't bullshit. Cod liver raising T levels in any appreciable manner is bullshit.
>Telling someone to go to the doctor to get a testosterone therapy versus telling someone to read a book to find 8 ways to increase testosterone.
Yeah, unless you are severely obese, those 8 things won't do shit. I know because I did all of them.
>The difference is that by telling someone to try these ways it eases them into a better lifestyle.
If you are low T, you can lift all fucking day and you will still be skinnyfat / fat. You can lose weight, at 5'10" I lost weight all the way down to 152lbs and I was still fucking fat. If you are low T, the best lifestyle in the world doesn't mean shit.
>Show me a study that shows that by taking testosterone replacement therapy increases testosterone
Are you serious? Injecting T doesn't increase T?
htt ps://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1532-5415.1993.tb02049.x
Males who received testosterone had a significant increase in testosterone and bioavailable testosterone concentration, hematocrit, right hand muscle strength and osteocalcin concentration. They had a decrease in cholesterol (without a change in HDL‐cholesterol) levels and decreased BUN/Creatinine ratios.
This one says T increased, strength increased, cholesterol decreased, and muscle damage (creatinine) decreased.
htt ps://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/81/10/3578/2649928
We conclude that T replacement therapy in hypogonadal men improved their positive mood parameters, such as energy, well/good feelings, and friendliness and decreased negative mood parameters including anger, nervousness, and irritability, and direct correlations between serum T and DHT with mood scores were only observed in the baseline period when serum androgen levels were below the normal range
This one says T increased, and mood improved and anger went down.
How many more do you want?

This is a flexibilty thread. If u were fat and tried fasting and it didnt work, then your body somehow managed to defy the laws of nature, and is extremely efficient. Also they didnt tell u that testosterone replacement does not increase the testosterone that your thyroid and testicles produce, which is why you dont experience ALL effects of high testosterone (ie. Jawline, deep voice, flirtacious with opposite sex, motivation, goal setting)
In fact steroids will actually do the opposite and increase estrogen and cortisol because your body has no need to produce testosterone in excess, and instead wants to balance it out, which is why steroid users have permanent damage just like dopamine levels in meth users.
I recommend you lurk more here, or go to reddit or bodybuilding.com

But between a range of 250 to 1000, there's a wide range
I used to be 300+ a couple of years back, now I'm around 450 or something.
Yes you can increase (or at least recover) it naturally, just by changing the habits that kill it and long term dedication to being fit.

Yeah, I'd concur with under 500. I was at 500 or so when I was on clomid, but I feel far better at 1000. Also, they just lowered the range in the past year, I think it has been lowered to almost 200.
>>145196
>If u were fat and tried fasting and it didnt work
Depends on what you mean by "didn't work". I lost nearly all the muscle I had and somehow retained fat. So no, it's not defying the laws of thermodynamics, as I did lose weight, but it's still a shit result since the weight loss primarily came from muscle.
>Also they didnt tell u that testosterone replacement does not increase the testosterone that your thyroid and testicles produce
I'm not aware of any testosterone coming from the thyroid. And yes, injecting T will shut down your testicles. Thats pretty well known.
>why you dont experience ALL effects of high testosterone (ie. Jawline, deep voice, flirtacious with opposite sex, motivation, goal setting)
I beg to differ with you. My voice did drop and I want to fuck all the time. Motivation is definitely improved. Jawline and brow is already pretty large, can't see them getting bigger.
>because your body has no need to produce testosterone in excess
You didn't read any of those studies I quoted, did you? TRT improved many markers of health in men that were low. "To excess" is roid level abuse, not TRT.

Although I won't discount it being low T for sure.

I learned how to do them all in a yoga class in prison Probably any video on youtube or article would be sufficient. They're all quite simple apart from the last two I mentioned.

I want to squat properly so I'm working on ankle mobility by getting into the squat position, shifting my weight onto one foot and then just driving that knee forward, keeping the heel planted. I also want to reclaim the flexibility I had as a child and sit cross-legged again so I'm practising this by sitting on my bed and getting one leg at a time into the correct position whilst trying to keep my back straight. I think the squat is getting more comfortable and I think my hips are beginning to loosen up as well so I think everything I'm doing is working although I've only been at it for a few days.
