I don't think dice mechanics will be necessary for something like this though a pastebin or some kind of way to keep track of all the noted school facilities would be something nice to keep in mind just for convenience sake (ours and yours).

Having general rules in the OP would be nice in my opinion. Doesn't have to be anything too strict just something that lays out what is generally expected of play (simple things like how all OOC posts should be aimed primarily in this thread for example). Any specialized/adjusted requirements should be up to the players themselves and should be made clear what they're looking for in their opening posts (Athletic tomboy who wants to get molested by her soccer coach, paragraph, etc). Doesn't have to be one for one like that just mostly about giving potential partners a better idea of what to expect when they go make their students polish balls in the storage room after gym class.

I'm fine with the idea of school events, though the timing for them will have to be quite loose with how slow posts can come in at this point in time. Any big one day event in game could take us days or even weeks to resolve depending. So basing things off of a real world timer is just asking for bad news.

We can also use this thread as a general interest check for certain characters that we may want to play and helping one another with coming up/tweaking characters. This part isn't completely necessarily either but it would lend itself to a sense of community… as long as it doesn't end up as clique bullshit. Nothing kills shared building faster and more lethally than one or a handful of anons taking complete control from the majority. Keep an eye out for anything like that, especially if people end up using the same characters over a long period of time. It's one thing to be known as "the anon who plays character x" and "the anon who uses character x as an identity." Thin line, I know, but it's a line that has to be observed otherwise we end up with another annoying name/avatarfag.

Disruptive players are definitely a concern. Due to the nature of it being a school, many players sounds appealing, BUT too many could turn things chaotic.

I think using names would be convenient, but they should be limited to the RP thread, and maybe this one. Namefagging outside of these threads can happen by mistake (it has happened a few times with the Calista Tower players), but intentional name abuse and overall faggotry would end with that character expelled, and possibly a nudge in Baron's direction to keep an eye on them.

As for school events, yes, they wouldn't be something run in real time. And the way I see it, they would have to be discussed in here. Like a council reviewing the school activities.

Personally, I don't think avatarfagging should be allowed, since there is no actual place for it in here. Pictures here and there for reference are okay, not in every single post.

But here I'm looking at the Calista thread and how their players are respectful to the board's unwritten rules, as well as how other people don't go shit up their threads. That's the kind of mindfulness I'd like players to have.

One good thing about this board is that no one goes out of their way to mess with actual RP threads if they're active. Even a certain banned person, for all his faults, didn't mess with any of those threads as far as I know. So, I don't believe that's going to be an issue. Names almost seem a must for something like this, though as you mentioned it should stick to the RP thread itself and not spill out. Attaching images now and again to keep people reminded of what your character looks like is useful as well, though anyone going out of control and turning it into avatarfagging should be watched carefully.

I'm actually highly interested in this, but I'm torn between playing a student or some sort of teacher who just oozes sex appeal and lightly teases her students, even if no one can ever find any evidence that she's doing anything inappropriate. She is of course, but she's near infallible with getting students to keep quiet about it. I'll have to see how many people jump in and what they choose to play before I decide.

If I remember correctly Baron did mention in one of the meta threads that he was fine with names during RP's proper and things directly related to said RP's. I have no problem with the idea either and I do think that the majority of people who are willing to put in the work won't be retards about it, but there's always one who ends up going against the grain either intentionally or through ignorance. Rather safe than sorry is all. Avatarfagging can definitely end up being a problem but shouldn't be too much of an issue overall so long as people just keep them as references or visual aids to what is actually happening in play. Anything else should be persecuted for such faggotry.

In all honesty I don't think most or any players will be disruptive, I just like making the potential dangers known so that way we aren't caught unaware later on down the line.

What kind of dynamic are we potentially looking at? I'm partial to playing the bleached hair and tanned/dark skinned types. Usually with a bit of bust and height to her as well. To clarify, yes, namefagging in RP threads and their relevant discussion threads is 100% OK and I would daresay encouraged simply because it makes it easier to keep track of who's posting what, especially if you have multiple scenes going on simultaneously in the same thread like Orgy and Fapbait often had at their peaks. Avatarfagging in the context of RP is fine (Fapbait did a ton of it technically), though I'd refrain from it in the discussion threads, and even when doing it in the roleplay probably best if you stick to pictures that are pertinent to the scene (i.e. a picture of your character sucking a cock during a blowjob scene.)

Also I think this is a great idea and I hope it takes off. I went ahead and edited this thread into the list of "Content" threads in the sticky at the moment to try and hopefully get you guys at least one or two more interested players. Good luck guys.

I've pretty much fully decided on playing a classical Gal type. I was waiting a bit to see what other gal poster may have wanted to do before going any further but I figure posting a general outline of the gameplan wouldn't hurt.

To introduce the character a bit before posting: Haruka Masamoto is a history teacher starting to feel his age, slowly worn down by the grind of a long teaching career. Outwardly friendly and pleasant, his social life is nonexistent, his last girlfriend predates the Twitter age, and he's keenly aware that the years are quietly slipping away from him. Between rowdy students and an administration that just wants another generation of high-scoring worker bees, he struggles to remember a point in his life when he didn't feel tired all the time.

He takes it in stride, however, and still genuinely cares enough about doing a good job that he's generally seen as a decent, reliable fellow (if somewhat forgettable). Allyson Katz (I'm genuinely awful at names please no bully) initially comes across as the teacher everyone dreads the following year. Her icy demeanor gives the impression that she'd rather be anywhere but surrounded by sniveling children who can't control their impulses to save a life, but in truth it gives her a sense of power that couldn't be found in another line of work. Basically what everyone else said. A single scene can take days to finish. Me and Greg's took about 2 days give or take: starting on the 9th and ending on the 11th. Since it's play by post you just have to get used to the idea of throwing out one chunky post and letting it sit for a few hours or a day while you wait for a response. This gives you enough time to just think about how you want to potentially write your own response: "if they do this I'll probably do that and maybe I'll add in a little bit of this!" Things like that. Overall there's really no rush at all and you have a lot of time to just think, write, and edit. A single post once every day or two is usually all you'll need. But if the scene might take longer than that it'd be wise to tell your partner beforehand, and if you feel like dropping out entirely it's also good to tell others. Don't want to end up in a situation where someone has been waiting a week+ for a potential response that will never come. Just common courtesy is all. Take it easy and have fun!

Vivian is a troubled kid.

His parents had, in hushed whispers, alluded to some of their vague, out-of-touch concerns regarding enrolling their child here at the academy, but in truth even they don't know what's going wrong with their son any longer. In education, you see it a lot - the folks aren't really interested or don't quite know how to stay connected with their little bundle of joy as they begin to become their own little person, and perhaps the little ones get into things they shouldn't. Maybe you know it when you see it, and if you do, you see it in Vivian's family right off the bat. Vivian gets spoken of in wellss, vaguenesses, a certain unwillingness to really talk about their own son, and conversation is always steered back to the straight and narrow process of getting him in. It's something the parents seem to, very quietly, worry about throughout the conversations, acting off-normal and scarcely seeming to even really be in this together, like estranged roommates brought in to discuss an intervention. It'd be surreal if it wasn't such a common sight for educators.

And then Vivian himself gets brought in, and… The kid plainly hasn't had a haircut in actual years.

The "personal interests" on his student's-page of the application, the one thing he had to do himself and which he did in wild-looking chickenscratch etchings, had been another to the pile that basically read "internet" - but this is something else. He's a child who seems to be very subtly dabbling in pulling off what's technically girl's clothes. He's standoffish, disinterested in schooling, seems to have no clear ideas of his future, and makes sure one can really feel he's forced to be there. One who deals with children should know the type - a child left to drift, who reaches out to eccentric communities to try on identities and find something in lieu of direction. A principal or somesuch talks to Reis, and gets that sinking feeling of knowing where these boys too often end up in however many years. They look at him and, to themselves, have to really consider the threat in taking the money in exchange for someone who might bring drugs into the school, lower averages, be weird. You know. Potential problem child. Offputting.

Little do they know exactly what strangeness he'd begun to explore in the past year without schooling - with all the money he could possibly know what to do with and none of the emotional needs or looking-up-to that offspring require, Vivian has been trying his hands at… Witchcraft. Occult, neo-pagan communities. Crossdressing, and crossplay. Teasing and tempting those deeply-unhealthy online with his youth and increasingly illicit, illegal curiosity. He doesn't know what he's doing. He doesn't know what he wants, or likes. He doesn't know what he's in for, and he's what they call at-risk. Already, Reis' managed to completely and permanently fuck up his cock on a variety of wild internet dick-enlargement schemes, and he's struggling to juggle dealing with the pain of his stupid, ridiculous dilemma and hiding it from parents who will send him to doctors.

It's a middling trap-shota-thing that could go further either way aimed at corruption, development, and maybe some emotional garbage. Wanted to ask, what can I do about the hiatus this has taken? Start a new day?
