Why do people always assume that those who roleplay as a female are female in real life? An important rule of the internet is to assume everyone is male unless you have strong evidence to believe otherwise.
Is it better to just lie about my real life gender when the subject comes up? A lot of people have lost interest in me because of it. I don't really feel comfortable perpetuating a lie though, because they will always believe on some level that they have a chance to make me their girlfriend. Then again, the goal of roleplay is to immerse people into the story, so a lie really unreasonable under these circumstances.

Nah, I saw their art and it was pretty legit. But yeah, the fact that they mentioned it like three times over the course of a week, I actually just started assuming they wanted me to get it for them, but didn't have the balls to ask. I've fucking dropped some money to get my IRL friends some cool junk, so a dollar didn't seem steep for someone I thought was cool, even if over the net.
