Nothing takes me out of a scene, or interest in a potential partner's writing than shit like this. I will take a thousand repeats clinically talking about the character's erect penis over a single phrase talking about his beefy boy beatstick.

I try to incorporate phrases based on context. If it's a violent non-consensual scene then weapons are great. But if it's a tender, loving thing you probably don't want to be bashing her cervix to oblivion with your bulging battering ram.
Other words that work? Obelisk and pillar are pretty fine. Spire, altar and monument too - if you're going for a more worshipy feel. Take the tone of the scene into consideration when you choose your words.
