Through the Church of the Subgenius.

But I may have met her even before then, unfortunately it was really dark, I was only able to make out her silhouette. I also heard her call my name before, but I hid away that time.

Nowadays she appears to me in the form of invisible spiders that crawl on my body in my sleep.

i had a dream, i was looking at my computer screen. and i saw a pic of a woman looking at a stove. as i kept watching the woman suddenly looked at me, winked, and blew softly. completely blasting me against the wall and waking me up. seems like something eris would do. so i'm pretty sure it was her.

I have yet to find eris. I don't see a point. She's absolutely right about the structure of reality, but why worship?

That's like worshipping your math teacher because she taught multiplication correctly. Or worshipping Hitler because he was right about Jews.

Eris can't handle me anyway ;^)

But your board is interesting.

You need not worship Eris to find Her. As a matter of fact, the Principia Discordia warns about the dangers of invoking divine intervention of any kind. It also warns you to never trust what you read, so take that for what it's worth.

My older sister, a Wiccan, saw it mentioned briefly in a book on paganism and said "hey, this is totally you", and so I got me a copy of the Principia. A decade and a half down the rabbit hole later, here I am, in the Eris Fan Club.

Was a Discordian before I even knew what one was. May or may not have spoken to her once or twice through one of her batshit avatars again, before I even knew I was a Discordian. Used to draw the Wheel of Chaos on stuff since childhood, no prompting.

I highly doubt I'll ever get the chance to ask what the fuck is going on, or receive a comprehensible answer if I did.

She posted cartoon pictures of herself and PDFs of the Principia on some Okinawan motion-picture entertainment discussion forums. I gave it a read, and been in love ever since. Or maybe She found me when I was a child, that would explain a few things. I don't know, though. I haven't asked.

I had seen this place before in the trending boards, but did not visit as I believed it to be a waifu board which would inherently include another thing I did not wish to see.

Fortunately, that other thing is not yet present but I consider it near inevitable. It's a haunting kind of thing.

Same Fenderson here. Pretty disgruntled about both the Principia Discordia and the severe lack of quality Eris erotic pictures. I hope Eris sends me a discordian enlightenment or reveals herself to me otherwise I don't see how I will stay in this religion longer than fnord. The discordia principia seems like some talentless mediocre comedian really tried to be funny and chaotic but it only comes off as stupid and annyoing. But I like the idea of being a saint and pope, which I am both now.

There I was walking around my highschool campus, tripping off of cough syrup (before it was cool,) discussing the nature of reality with a friend. He explained the game of sink to me and I was sold. I promptly read the Principia, then read it again, and realized I had finally found religion. The rest of the year the schools tech department was probably cursing me since I left a printed copy on every public printer I touched.

I became convinced of Balance. Not the encompassing "goodness" but the indiscriminate side of it.

When two tectonic plates Balance, it can kill millions of people.

Balance is of course a random aspect of time's procession, where the last 6 billion years somehow culminated in the balance of a nebula that formed a star that balanced the accretion system which came to a slower existence as things became balanced. The orbital patterns balanced, the atmospheres balanced, the carbon balanced, and eventually everything was "balanced" enough to promote the existence of life.

Millions of years later, you're balancing your daily routine when that tectonic plate balances and drops a fucking building on you: I don't define that as chaotic. I define it as the balance of luck, because there is no such thing as "unlucky." There is only off-balance, and correction.

That correction, I believe, is as close as we'll ever get to understanding "God's will." Eris fit that picture, and as Nyx she encompasses the primordial aspect as balance in whole, not just strife. For there were two; Her name was Strife.

Then it follows

>Have a great, lucky day, PRAISE ERIS

>Stub toe in the morning, get into a car wreck, PRAISE ERIS

Which eventually became THANKS GOD, which I think I may have accidentally balanced into the Obama meme…
