i still own a old windows pc and decided to boot it up to play doom the only enemy i remember is the spider mastermind and a couple of others this was before i moved on to other games like silent hill metal gear and other konami games.

I think most people started the series off on its roots, it was more installed than Windows at one point.

I started on video games with Tempest, and my first console was the Atari VCS, so it's a given that I started playing DooM from the original games. I only have DooM II on physical media, as my DooM disks are now long gone. Ah well.

The first version of Doom I played was Doom95 in the late 90's I think. It was a very long time ago.
I don't see people talk about that port much anymore, I remember it being the most popular one at the time.
