Most of the 8ch boards I used to browse, including this one, are pretty dead.
The cool thing about old 8ch was it still had that Hotwheels legacy of being more than a Trumpcuck site. I think after it got shut down a lot of the people who had convos here before that didn't come back - Jim's shit was already pretty overbearing, but after that it sort of became like visiting this site was some kind of "statement." And the statement was "I'm a dumb boomer faggot."
I think that's most of what it is - we just still haven't recovered from that. I don't know if we will. But I'm still going to be around here. I have a new machine, so I don't have to hide tabs anymore. Maybe some day I'll have my own house. No, that's not going to happen.

Imageboards as a whole are dead. The only reason they still exist is because, much like a wrestling fan post-2001, they can't get over the fact that it's not the good old days anymore, but because they have nothing else going for them other than trying too hard to seem different from fellow "normies," they can't give it up.
