Everything is broken and I can't get up. I'm trying to use my quarantine time for programming so that I can earn some money with my program and get out of this miserable life but it's like nothing ever works out. I try something and get 500 errors in return. I know that I can fix them, but it will take a long, long, long time and I just want to give up and sleep forever. Not kms, but just sleep. I am on day 100 nofap, but it didn't have any effect, except maybe a slight decrease in depression. That's because my depression isn't rooted in porn, it's because of my shit life situation and the fact that I don't earn money (still in school, but I feel that's just an excuse for being a NEET).
Nothing works and I'm a failure. The world is currently crashing in every possible and there is no hope - if we end the virus, we're going to have a financial crisis, if we climb out of that, we're going to have to fight an increasingly authoritarian big brother government, if we win against it, we have to combat the virtually endless brainwashing by the media, the shit they put in our food, 5G and vaccines, etc etc. It doesn't end, I just want this hellscape to end. Why did previous generations have it so easy, and why does this need to happen NOW? Can't the elites just wait a few generations and just let people live in peace. It's not like anyone would even try to get their wealth, so why do they have to ruin things?
On the other hand, if this is the start of the slow decline of humanity, I feel that's a good thing. All previous generations lived on propped-up wealth, a propped up economy, fake happiness and fake love. Just let it crash. I've also come to believe that computers are a poison for humanity. The more time we spend with them, the weaker we get. Programming is literally the most boring and shit job anyone can imagine. It's so pointless, it's like those people in Auschwitz that had to dig holes for no other reason than digging holes. That's what programming feels like. Meanwhile you can't talk with anyone about hobbies because you HAVE NONE and you can't talk with people about topics other than programming. Building proper programs literally takes years, let alone putting in all the effort for marketing, accounting and all the other crap if you want to earn money with your program.
Watching porn has no meaning, not watching it has no meaning either. Yeah, you practice self-discipline, but for what? For whom? No girl will ever like me since I was born with a jaw that's too big. Doctors can fix it, but they want money, money that I don't have. My parents hate me and they hate each other. My mom was a roastie and just married the next guy she found in a disco. My dad is an absolute slob, a controlling narcissist and financially irresponsible on top of that. Nobody loves me, so why should I love anyone else? I don't hate people, I'm just so indifferent. You can go on Youtube and watch a dozen Videos of New York City to the point that you know so much about the place that it kinda becomes pointless travelling there. You described my life sans the programming. After being homeless & flunking my first semester I really actually kinda needed this, but the economy being fucked has me reevaluating my entire life. Honestly, I’m not continuing with uni after I get my degree. I’m not wasting my life in uni feeling like a useless parasite doing nothing with my youth other than coom and consoom; it’s pointless, but now I don’t know if things will ever be the same again. This pandemic is literally the horse breaking its leg after 11 years of solid recovery from a sprained ankle. I can relate to this. I am trying to worked on a slimmed down game that I have wanted to make for a while , but working through all the variables is driving me nuts. I want to push through and use it as an excuse to learn a new language. Further I have another program I want to work on but I need to buy a new computer just to make it work for testing purposes and I honestly don't want to buy a Windows box just for that.
As for the decline, I am trying to get skills so I can immigrate, get a remote job I can work from anywhere with and move to the global south as it does not seem as oppressive (not perfect, but don't have the ability to as of yet). Also working toward building a plan B and C bunker overseas.

I would follow hour long tutorials and memorize the code and functions but I still didn't have any power to create something with it, which is how I learn. It's more like learning a new language than it is doing math, so you need to spend hundreds of hours practicing it before you see any payoff whatsoever.
You're probably more well suited to do something creative. If I were you I would try to learn an art form, or an instrument or something, or read.

Programming is a nightmare especially early on but if you keep at it eventually it will flow as a second language. It sounds like you are still new if indeed you only began during quarantine so that's what three or four months of experience tops? I tried doing some cool shit right off of the bat and got lost. Then I had to go back and watch hours of coding videos learning how to make simple shit. I'm actually fairly new as well, only began in October and still can't fuck around with APIs like I would like to. It's a terribly boring learning curve unless you have a real love just for making shit and learning how things work. But you seem to understand that so own it and follow through or don't.
As for being stuck in an endless cycle of struggle… yeah, I mean that's life in a nutshell and I do not believe in this rose colored glasses shit that people have for the past. If anything most people from the past probably didn't have the knowledge or access to information to understand just how fucked that we all are but they certainly had hard times all around and got by on faith that things would work out or they just became bitter alcoholics and morphine addicts.

Programming is a inherently non-creative activity. You can't just start something and let it reveal itself along the way as you do with music or painting. Unless you actually know the bigger picture you simply can't be experimental when programming. It's nothing more than a technical tool. Can it help you accomplish a creative task like building a game or website? Of course. You just have to know what you're doing first. No one in their right mind would ever start fiddling with electrical wiring components just to see what happens. But you can take solace in that believe it or not; there is an objectively correct way to do things out there and it's just a matter of you figuring that out.
