There was a /doomer/ board in spacechan some time ago, I think it moved to neinchan but it's just as dead, why did someone (the owner I suppose, I don't know how the whole board revival process worked) bring it back here if it doesn't even have an userbase?

Oh yeah, finally my /doomer/ is back!

Until yesterday it didn't work, so I tried to recreate it and fucked in the process. After emailing the admin I think he got into contact with the real board owner to remake it.

The European guy? why isn't he here? he used to be pretty activate when 8chan was still a thing, I would expect him to be making a "welcome back" post as soon as the board was up again.

Yes, the latvian dude. He posted a lot too.

He must be around, I think. I don't believe the board came back with no moderation whatsoever just because I nagged at Ron, he must have been notified and gave his greenlight for the board to come back.

Well, thank you I guess, I came to 8kun as soon as I knew it was available again, I can live without /doomer/ being alive but it would be nice to see it come back. I don't know where any of the original posters went to.

I decided to check 8kun out of interest to see activity, and by chance I saw doomer on the board list. Oddly enough it was a through a similar circumstance that i found doomer in december of 2018. (I had gotten bored of /b/ long before then but would occasionally check back on 8ch, saw doomer in the list). Anyways I'm here now.

I'm one of the australian posters (you recommended me ReLIFE). I'm sorry I never responded to your post on Julayworld. I didn't check back on the board. I feel bad because I wasn't as invested in the board as it seems many of you guys were. I just read the blokal thread and clearly you and others really put in a lot of effort to searching, whereas I just drifted around and checked occasionally. Regardless, it was good to read your posts Sven.

Hopefully something of the old early doomer posting can be recaptured, sans the wojak poser faggotry.

Where I am isn't affected by the fires that badly. Some days lots of smoke will get blown into the city and my lungs/throat will get really irritated + we had a big dust storm a week ago. Its honestly really hard to make an accurate assessment of how bad the fires are because the news is effectively a shit-flinging fest between two major political groupings. Regardless I'm enjoying the fires. I don't really have a rigorous justification for why, but I enjoy the public chaos that it has induced. Everybody sticks to their talking points about the cause, trying to play moral king of the hill. I genuinely feel a shift in the collective consciousness of some people (specifically young people.) Youth (often affluent) are developing a slight awareness of the state of things (ecologically/environmentally). The finger has been pointed at the apparent ruling class and previous generations (older whites), unsurprisingly they fail to notice how they too are complicit in capitalist society.

Extinction rebellion logos are graffiti-ed with stencils on the streets of wealthy suburbs and then posted onto instagram and snapchat stories. The stop sign near my house has been altered to "stop breeding so much". I critique their vain and performative actions but I really don't offer any solutions. Nothing important will really change: a river might be saved here, a forest there. people will adopt a vegan lifestyle or adopt a orphan to slow over population. But things will get progressively worse and they'll all be left scratching their heads. "what went wrong, I tried my best". I'm rambling, sorry. Its been a long day and its pretty late now.

And I'm not exempt. Sometimes I wish for the collapse and other times I have a great vision of humanity, a future where we can all come together and be happy; the sun crests over a hill and all the different people from all the races come together and save the planet and we live in a hate / violent / problem free utopia. either way I don't really try for either outcome (utopia or apocalypse).

Last but not least, a short story. I was called "bigoted against rich people" by a self proclaimed demsoc whose personal idol is Greta thunberg. Thats all. dumb cunt. again, Sorry for this shit quality post

look duder I posted this once on old /coomer/

when you have 12 people living at the river and they shit and piss into the river it doesnt matter for the ecologic system.

When you have 2 million of those pissing their cocaine and hormone infested piss into the sewers you have to build a water system and filtration facility. Then you need shitloads of fresh water, and then you need deslination plants etc. etc.

you see humans go to some place, fornicate uncontrolled, prostitute all ressources and then solve the newly created problems with technology. The former problems are solved but new ones emerge.

the only solution to save the planet is to kill yourself

>utopia

yes this is possible. when you replace humans with machines that follow algorithms

this is also why humans should not be in power positions. Entire govt should be algorithms acting on pre defined clear rules making no exemptions, no mistakes and no mercy for criminals

Such is the hubris of man that we will never realize our fate. Everybody parrots "learn from history, or else you will repeat its mistakes", yet nobody every actually looks at it critically, or realizes how interconnected things are and how everything we do ends up fucking things in some regard.

>utopia through algorithms

Someone posted a quote here a while ago along the lines of "now we have the chance to make cruel decisions, but if we don't, soon enough we will have no chance to do anything at all". I took it to mean that if you aren't willing to make cruel decisions then your right to power will eventually be taken away. Consider the ethnic displacement in European countries; the easy / "humanitarian" thing to do (in the short term) is to bow and let them in, but once democracy devolves into an ethnic headcount you won't have any choice in the matter.

>no mercy for criminals

It must go beyond that, or at least involve a drastic redefinition of criminal to anyone who is net bad for society. It hurts to accept that many people are very unhealthy for humanity , but when you look at it in simple terms (if you are not good for society you should not be in it) things become productive.

But of course this will never come to happen. Instead a different algorithm, one less altruistic, will come into place. In fact you could say that one has been in place for a very long time; it is a weighted network, but it doesn't come in the form of some matrix or array. Instead its nodes are people, groups corporations. Lobbyists know politicians and journalists, elites fraternize and self benefit, almost always choosing the optimal decision for themselves. If we trust humans to always act in their perceived self interest, then we can expect them to make predictable decisions. The connections aren't overt, rather tacit and well understood by those in power. There is no official convention of the military industrial complex prior to any US intervention / military action. There isn't a direct order from the CIA to MSM to manufacture consent. But everything still somehow falls into place and everyone in DC and elsewhere is satisfied.

This algorithm that I'm talking about could be called (in the modern context) "global corporate democracy", but is far from the democratic ideal that their proverbial cattle have been spoonfed. I'm not sure if I explained this human algorithm well, but I have experienced it first hand. I lived in DC briefly and it truly amazed me how quickly people would drop their pants at the chance to get ahead in life. A once friend / associate of mine who would fill rooms with anti-interventionist rhetoric and is a proud christian / humanitarian now works at McKinsey. Regardless, as george carlin says "its a big club, and you ain't in it". Hes a bit off with the specifics though: its not a club, its a culture

>This algorithm that I'm talking about could be called (in the modern context) "global corporate democracy"

With the global corporate democracy in place, is it even possible to have a democracy anymore? Those with power have effectively consolidated it to the point where any vote to their contrary gets turned to their favor. It seems as if the techno-linguistic algorithm we've been caught in is the source of our problem.

To quote Berardi, "The psycho-cognitive constitution of neo-humans (their cognitive hardware, I mean) cannot support the software of the past humanist culture, so words like 'freedom', 'equality', 'fraternity' have lost their situational meaning." Without the freedom and effectiveness political volition, the current state of global corporate democracy is irreversible; and undeniably, the very constitution of the social organism has been so afflicted by it. We cannot reverse the process of children learning through screens rather than by human voice, we cannot reverse the melting of the ice sheets, we cannot reverse a downward spiral into military aggression being subservient to corporate greed . "Volition has no bearing when faced with irreversible processes".

Greta never said anything about eating insects. it's just a meme.

Also people who bother with her are truly IQ89. She's just a puppet for the media to perform dances which makes stupid people mad and thus creates interest. Shit like this is exactly why nobody takes environmental issues serious.
