I mean that if 'stereotypical' (as in - what I usually read from transhumanists) transhumanist vision of society as concept is relevant, then it implicitly means that gender will become totally useless concept in face of technological advancement. In fact it means even more freedom because while now people fall into things like "my gender/pronouns/sexual orientation = my identity", in transhumanistic world this will become totally irrelevant and gender will be maybe something like sweater you put on yourself - like yea, you call yourself guy, girl or something else but it has close to no practical use whatsoever. You really would think that, but apparently no. I've seen folks, mostly on the right politically but also occasionally on the left that didn't get that. I think the absolute shitshow that has been gender theory in the public consciousness thanks to internet culture both on imageboards and tumblresq sites hasn't helped either. My comments were primarily aimed at the Elon Musk crowd that I personally think have mistaken techno-utopian capitalism for transhumanism and then been shocked when they understand the implications.
You're bang on though, gender in a transhumanist world would vanish as we know it today and I personally find that attractive because I care much more for what people think, how they act, and what they value. Both gender and race universally bind us to roles that we are expected to fill and which at least historically we do not individually choose. It's not a matter of destroying the patriarchy and more a matter of letting people be what they personally decide to be. In that sense black, white, man and women are all inadequate expressions of the human condition in large part because they are imposed upon us culturally, dimorphically and phenotypically. To me a transhumanist world is where people use technology to liberate themselves and expand on their humanity. I want to see the science, art, community and spirtualities that people can express when they're not bound by both material want and basic laws of nature like evolution. Perhaps us controlling our own evolution is just another form of evolution, in any case it is a form I prefer.
Transhumanism like any other fledgling ideology is very broad and hasn't really found its footing yet. The term only really came into existence in the 90s so it remains to be seen where things will go. I first encountered it by reading Greg Egan's novels and the world painted in his book Diaspora is culturally the most accurate far future scenario (2900s) I've seen in hard sci fi. By the same author Distress is the most accurate near future scenario (2060s) I've seen in hard sci fi. If anyone here decides to read one I recommend Distress as it's more relateable to how we live now.

Yes well that's beauty of being mature human being, not expecting 'reward' in form of relationship or sex from every person you like. That's what it's all about, freedom. I'm seeing this issue more through lenses of modern world, when even now in 2019 and not in far tech-utopia, our 'traditional' roles are losing their function. To a certain extent, we live in luxury, in a sense that we are able to solve these issues instead of pure existential questions like starvation or whatever else. And questions related to our roles, traditional values, etc. have to be answered and I guess that's what is our current political discourse about, except other problems like economy etc.

As I said, I never had close relationship with transhumanist ideas but this is first time when I hear something like this, I always seen transhumanism as very materialistic sets of ideas focused around human and material world - technology. I don't think we necessarily need insane technological advancement to progress this way though. I think the core issue is something along lines of false ideas about what it means to be human, we idealize ourselves and our roles too much, while real world with so much people as we have now clearly shows that we are diverse bunch of folks with flaws. Maybe technology can help us overcome this and give us more control over our individual destiny, it would make sense to me, I just don't think we necessarily have to control our evolution on biological level to just be ourselves/who we want to be.
