Do any of you guys workout just to get the day to go by a bit faster? Whether or not it's the only time you leave the house, or you do it at home as long as you get a decent one in. I find it to one of the few things that still feels good to do when not drunk

The only thing which feels good about it is making some progress. For some years I spent most of my days sitting and smoking so I thought I cannot push myself into shape I used have in past. I'm still not there but the fact that I can keep doing more and more pushups, etc., that I can work out for longer and longer time, that I can lift heavier weights is good. I don't do it to feel better or to kill time though, I just want to be ready, even physically. I would say it has no psychological impact on me. I have everything I need at home for this activity and I can focus better.

Used to til I hurt my back one too many times. Was a nice ride being /fit/izen when still under the delusion of going from obese to beast, instead going from fat to flabby even when I became hungry skeleton doing keto, intermittent fasting, -1000 calories off my TDEE and 7-11 hours of cardio a week just to get un-fat. And even then I still had all that loose skin and stretch marks. I'm now fat-as-fatass again (but not hambulocetus like I was many moons ago before first discovering /fit/ ) because I have nothing to lose weight for anymore. And my back has progressively gotten worse and worse to the point that I lost a week of work just trying some "these will help a sore back" stretches, multiple minor surgeries did jack shit for the constant pain, and my go-to when my depression flares up is junk food binging. If my back pain prevents any real lifting (ie stuck with piddly shit equipment eg resistance bands like a grandma), and I'll never look good naked even if I could, what's the point?

I hate any kind of physical exercise. I was always last in PE class (and not just among boys) and this disgusted me from PE forever. I don't even know how to ride a bike.

I lifted for a while, but then I realised I have no reason to do it whatsoever so I ceased doing it. Now I'm just a skinnyfat drunkard sperg and if I'd not see atleast a modicum of chance to witness the collapse of this modern western civilization and if I'd have Access to a shotgun I'd probably an hero.

Same.
I was working out pretty regularly for about a year, but I just recently cancelled my gym membership, last month. I told the gym that I was moving out of state and would be looking for another location to lift with friends. I lied. I'm still right down the street from that gym and I have no friends.

Self-improvement works if you have a good reason. For many people in self-improvement threads on different boards it's often for muh women, muh feel better about yourself or muh save the west stuff. None of that worked for me but it can be literally anything. Maybe one day you get some idea to do something you want to do and one of the main obstacles will be your lack of physical strength. However I think that living this "pure lifestyle" of diets, straightedge, veganism, whatever, is just pointless and often virtue-signalling. People who f.e. don't smoke because they don't enjoy it or people who eat vegan shit because they don't like meat are fine, but pushing yourself too hard for silly reasons will not bring you any discipline. Dedication is what you need, if you have good fucking reason, you will improve for it. If you have nothing then why you shouldn't smoke, drink etc. if it makes you feel fine.

It's really the last thing I have. I would at least like to look at myself in the mirror and see something I've accomplished for once. It's so far helped me not feel sick all the time and I can walk much better on my /nightwalks/. Almost makes me wanna quit smoking

I like to run because I don't want to be the first to die if society were to collapse any time soon lol. I'm also hoping to pick up fencing this fall because it looks cool and I want to push my cardio endurance. I'd do boxing or MMA if I trusted any of the local coaches.

I'll do four sets of 50 push ups at random intervals of the day. Gives you that "just got out of prison" body. Both Men and women will treat you with more respect if you look like you can smash their neck with a punch.

fencing with a sabre is part of muh heritage so that's my suitably gay reasoning for wanting to pursue it, but yeah, I'm working up my capability to run moderate distances at higher, sustained speeds. I'm also learning to catch critters with snares, since I'm in city limits and waiting with a rifle for a fluffer seems like a massive waste of time anyway.
That said, can't wait to get my permit and try hunting white tail deer.

Nah, I work out to go faster. Sprinting. It's its own reward, being out in the incredible beauty of nature, spooking the normies on bikes when they hear footsteps and realize SOMEBODY COMIN' UP BEHIND YOUUUU~
It's cardio, AND it's high intensity, which means it's good for both lung capacity and t-level.
Of course, I broke my goddamn foot tripping over some furniture last week, so I can't do that anymore and am now a doomer, already stir-crazy from quarantine.
I could give a dead moose's last shit about wahmen, but I do take pride in having the freedom of movement of a videogame character while everyone else is waddling or an out of shape skinnyfat.

Another benefit: when you're out doing high-agency things like getting fit, you occasionally encounter other dudes who you can tell just by looking have self-respect and a sense of the future.

Not long ago one of my ribs was injured somehow it seemed. It has been a few weeks since I've properly done my sit-ups and leg-ups and shit. I plan to restart tonight.
My right foot seems to have sustained some sort of lasting injury from a time someone dosed me with meth and I over-exerted force on it in cardio. I wish to exercise more.

True words. I am small and skinny, and (sandnigger) men disrespect me quite often. I wonder when I become jacked if it will change, despite my body not going to look different with clothes on. I read in The Book of Pook that men and women alike had huge respect after he got buff, and he was quite saddened how much they disliked his frail physique before he got all that mass. I mean, look at Foreign Legion soldiers, they are skinny but the ultimate killing machines.
You mean you do 200 pushups total a day or 800?
