I think it all started in 2001 with 9/11. That pretty much killed any optimism that we had in those halcyon years between the end of the Cold War and, well, 9/11. Then the Iraq War kicked in, and gradually, piece by piece, everything we cherished was lost, and 2007 was basically just the last nail in the coffin, and now all we have is a bunch of fatherless men and motherless daughters latching onto vaporwave, shitty nostalgia-fueled reboots and more just to fill the gaping hole in their lives. We no longer live, we simply exist. It's why I pity zoomers, not out of some elitist le superior generation hogwash, but because at least we had distractions: we had good vidya, good cartoons, good music, young adult books were actually FOR US instead of femcel boomer winemoms like Sarah Dessen (who basically Karened the fuck out and ruined some college student's reputation over the most pathetic shit possible), but what do zoomers have? Gen X got the scraps, millenials the bones, and zoomers the bone marrow, and Gen A will get nothing whatsoever, which will fuel the greatest rubberband effect in decades when they nope the fuck out of all this woketard shit. I was really into competitive pokemon (3rd gen) and I would post teams and strategies
I remember this one really good guy who always had the best strategies, knew everything
He called himself Minaki and I really admired him for how good he was with this stuff
I wanted to be as good as him. I really wonder what he does today and if he is alive and kicking.
I also remember some other posters as well. Sumpex and Beck'em were 2 friends of Minaki.
Then there was another guy who would start drama with them all the time and challenge them and one day they found out it was the little brother of the Beck'em guy. Yeah we had net drama there too
One guy for example would always enter the new postings and write the first comment

Then there was this Sabrina or how she called herself. She like to post weather teams. She like sun, I liked rain teams.
