I usually just get up for a couple of hours and eat a sandwich (I go back to bed when I feel drowsy again). I drink a lot of coffee the next day. Then the next night I take a melatonin tablet and try to get some sleep.

I can’t sleep right now, it’s 730am. I’m going to take a gabapentin, do a dab, go get a 40 ounce of Budweiser and drink it in the shower… fap… and hopefully get some sleep. I have too high of a tolerance for dopamine and serotonin at this point, I need to cut myself off but I won’t. I’m too addicted to comfort right now especially having chronic full body pain

Can't sleep either. Took some pills which usually makes me sleep deeply but I can't right now anyway. So made myself a coffee and I will probably roll until night and then waste a few days pushing my sleep schedule back to night time while fighting with panic attacks.

For me, I can sleep relatively fine. I live in a very quiet place. The problem for me is trying to stick to a sleep schedule. I'll stay up late at night and 3 days later I'm nocturnal and then I spend 2 weeks trying to break that. It's stretches you out mentally sometimes.

Mostly I just live with the pain though and make some coffee or something; I have some leftover peppermint vodka from Christmas that tastes like mouthwash

I think I'll start in on that tonight.

I used to play games, but gaming has become less and less interesting as I've grown; originally in my naïveté I would lap up whatever jew time sink came my way. As I understood more and more of the world I became disinterested and disillusioned with more and more genres of games until all I played was grand strategy a la Paradox; now even those are no longer enthusing. no form of entertainment is.

When I can't sleep I try to induce a sugar crash so high it'll make me sleepy shortly after because of all the carbs.

I prepare some pasta, preferibly salty and buttery with a lot of cheese, no salsa and leave it to cool very little while I prepare a banana smoothie for drinking as dessert along a big chocolate bar, Milka.

That along some warmth and I'll emphatize: a dark and silent place will make you surely rest if you have a slow metabolism.

In my experience it's the combo of salt, sugar and heat that should prevent you from having your sleep interrupted by going to the bathroom so be mindful about your limits, you don't seek a nap with this of course.

If I masturbated before bed I'd be up all fucking night so I try to avoid it when I'm sleepdesperate.

drive around for about 20 minutes to an hour. I would do walks but that requires a shower after to feel comfy enough to sleep.

Chamomile tea.

if youa re a NEET like me, forcing yourself to stay up until you can't take it anymore is an option. But i always get upset that I am losing something - either the morning, day, sunset, or night. Every now and then I get into a 'schedule', where I sleep at the same time and wake at the same tim e- this is very rare. Some years I get it where I wake up right as night falls, or even around 8 or 9PM at night. Keep in mind I have been a neet for 13 years now. My favorite month for this to happen is January, if and when it does happen. But when it does, and I make my coffee in the dead of night, with others in the house at least somewhat more quiet than usual if not completly asleep and absent. Oh man. I am in heaven. I used to play PC games with friends, or post on smaller sites like 420chan for hours, in addition to reading stuff online and listening to music, watching old music videos, going down rabbit holes, or reading a book. Maybe take a night walk while listening to a podcast ,audiobook. There is something special about that quiet time when the world is asleep and you can lurk around in privacy. And knowing your sleep rhythm is set up to that makes it even more safe, secure, relaxing, if you are a nervous type with sleep difficulty.

I am getting old now, the seasons pass by so fast. Also in these 13 years I have gotten to know the seasons, the plants, the changing of the plants with the weather. I love them all so much and cherish them and fear missing out. Didn't used to be that way, in my early and mid 20s I paid it no mind. Year after year of walking, bike riding, and hiking with my brother's dog exposed me to it naturally and gradually. I am blessed with a set of good memories of these years thanks to mother nature and my free NEET time and, certainly, headspace. But that brings also a pressure to experience the full beauty of each season, of each day even, but especially the seasons of the year. I no longer wish for those night owl sleep rhythms, because I will miss the trees and flowers, shrubs, vines, moss, smell of fresh water streams. I become stressed about missing it. missed sleep can last for days or weeks at a time, with only a few good days in a whole month where vitality, vigor and happiness carry me along. It's not the threat of a bad day, but the rhythm of a bad week or even whole month, and the loss of that segment of that season of the year, that now replaces the anxiety that used to be assorted for work or school matters.

I took a break from alcohol for lent with my mom (with some dispensations, not a full abstinence), sleep has been an issue. Thank god I have the freedom of a NEET, otherwise I'd have to be going into work on 1 or 2 hours of sleep. Ah, I remember that in my college days. Don't want to do that ever again for the rest of my life if I can help it.

I feel I will go on a drive soon after this post. Not sure what music to listen to.
