Luxomancy because fairies ought to glow, so why not weaponize it? Can burn enemies' eyes or blink rapidly to evade attackers. Illusion wouldn't work as reliably. That in addition to my other powers will make me very hard to hit or damage. Telekinesis allows better flight, opening jars, and shockwaves to interfere with hearing while Luxomancy makes them blind. Choosing to be very tiny gives me an evasion edge, but does reduce my magic power a bit so it is situational.

My powers make me not only a good wizard, but a great guide. I should be able to give lots of details on everything including enemies and traps which I have supernatural abilities to detect, analyze, and illuminate with different kinds of light for quick identification/targeting. Link Max will keep me alive until I learn more magic and with Chrona backing us up we might stand a good chance of winning.

The perks are like getting level 100 in something instantly, while powers are like getting level 5 and a 10x XP boost, so YMMV on what's useful and what isn't.

Really depends on the perk. Naturally most of the sexual/fetish oriented perks are a waste of points if you are looking to win, though there's something to say for your quality of life along the way. Things like the "priorities" set, Leadership, Mana factory, Lazy Body Building etc all synergize very well with the "Powers" section.

What's better than having godlike magical power? Having unlimited mana and the analytical skill to use it all efficiently. All of the martial powers require practice and training, which you can do with Lazy Body Building. "Lazy" is a misnomer, it either extends the time you can feasibly train or allows you to multitask.

Rebirth by death is the only one that provides that functionality in an acceptable way. The big one of course is Challenge Run. I figured I didn't have enough points to really maximize Magic and Martial ability, so Challenge Run grants me near-immunity while forcing me to focus on Martial combat instead. Because I won't be using magic I also take Mana Transfer, which disables my ability to generate Mana. There are a couple Martial abilities that rely on mana, but I avoided taking those. Also Magic Overhaul which specifically says MY magic potential, not that of my companions or anyone else in the world, so it's a freebie.

Infertile helps me avoid problems now and can be removed after the trial. Generally "rapey" opponents (game over, breeding program etc) only become an issue for me if I lose, anything that doesn't kill (or imprison) me at that point isn't much of a worry. Special mention to Quick Fire Round, as a female I'm expecting that to be less "shows over" and more "let's go again"

Better together seems like an obvious choice, same gender. Whether it's a fully independent twin or just a mirror me it's still a huge power gain (and fun). I also take the full "Priorities" deal with Hud, Mental Landscape, and Total Recall, maximizing my augmented mental abilities. I'm not entirely sure how body building will affect an Automaton, but I have to assume it does in this case. Soul Refraction will probably be one of my most useful combat abilities. Sex God is the only thing I'm taking here that doesn't directly contribute to winning, and given the nature of the trial it still might

I can't take magic and I don't have mana normally, so I'm limited mainly to taking Ashe's powers. I like the idea of being more of an Agility/skill based character, so we have ninja and the skills to go with it (missing thievery unfortunately). Chakra as my "power source" instead of mana. I want to use a variety of weapons and tools (most produced through soul refraction), but completely master the Schirke's sword that I bought. Technophile is useful especially due to my race, and I'm doubling up on magic resist just to be absolutely sure nothing magical can harm me directly. Of course I still take all stats. For Endurance I choose to have the special effect based on how much skin is exposed, so I can travel light and maintain agility

Ultimate Attire is actually functional as "armor" thanks to my endurance talent. Specifically I can have it transform into something more revealing in combat, paradoxically increasing my defense. My "armor" is also customized to be as revealing as possible, with the ultimate attire worn either under or over it. Ward of Sacrifice gives me a final layer of defense that ideally should never be used.

I'm assuming that the Bases count as items, since they are right in the middle of Schirke's section. The lab with portal crystals provides somewhere to escape to while the safehouse is a more functional base. Beyond that I mostly just have a few conveniences.

Mystery box was just a filler point, didn't expect anything useful. The Subtle Knife however is actually a pretty good roll, I might have to consider swapping my Devotion to knives/daggers instead.

The thing about quests is that there's no real penalty for NOT completing them, nor is there a time limit for most of them. Conduct recruitment campaigns until I have a standing army. Conquer lands with overwhelming force, but provide benevolently as much as is convenient. Recruit more soldiers and smiths/factory workers. Every world but the cyberpunk one seems to be based in fantasy so even a few handcrafted shotguns would be enough to take an aggressive stance.

I dunno if a single mage can take on an entire country's worth of munitions but I'm willing to bet that she can't.

I don't think normal guns are going to do much to demigods. You'd probably need something like Ignition to make them strong enough to do damage, otherwise it'd be like shooting superman.

Of course, keep in mind that Challenge run is not magic IMMUNITY, just resistance. You can also buy magic resistance from the powers section, as well as the active skill "bullwark" which increases it further.

Bullwark give you an edge if you have a shield, magical resistance will depend on the shield magical property. Otherwise you're putting a thick piece of iron between you and a spell. Most of the time this doesn't help you with magic unless the magic itself affect ONLY what it touch.

(EX: Magic missile being block by a shield or shielding yourself from a fireball. )

Curse and more tricky magic might just treat the shield as an extension of the target. At least that's my point of view on this.

Aegis is just an ability that lets you spend energy (mana or whatever else you use) to boost your resistance.

Fair enough, but the downside of Challenge run is that you cannot take any power that are magical in nature.

And Aegis is not fuel by energy but your mana reserves. The more sauce you give the more physical and magical resistance you get.

The problem with challenge run is that any magic that is worked on you or that you cast fizzle out. So any spell that work through you, like most spellcasting school, eastern art, gateway, imbue, true sight and such will fizzle out because they are Imbued on you.

THe only grey area is chackra and cultivation, because its a snowflake magic thingy.

Lots of things could be interpreted as magic depending on how strict you want to be. In fact, basically EVERYTHING in the CYOA is effectively magic, including the "physical" boons. Since there's no clear distinction anywhere on the CYOA for what does and doesn't count against Challenge Run, I take it to explicitly mean Evelyn's power section only. Everything between Evelyn's blue box and Ashe's pink box is forbidden, but nothing else.

No, the AI will just not be able to consciously calculate. Being unable to CONSCIOUSLY use numbers does not mean mean that subconscious processes involving numbers also fail. Our brains use huge amounts of calculation to deal with images and analysis but struggle with 3 digit multiplication. We are programmed as much as an AI is, with softer, looser but still mathematical rules. Merely imposing a mental block would make the AI a lot less useful, though not unusable.
