there was a huge dump of some good old cyoa games (around 100) on /cyoa/:the board, and some links were posted in just a few other threads so that others would know that there was a goldmine of untapped cyoa games in that thread. /cyoa/ was just gifted a ton of cyoa game out of nowhere, now please tell me how that is shilling?

I'm thinking of making a police themed CYOA in which you pick your personnel, how much ground you cover and so on. With a variety of staff levels. So you could have a whole army of Black and Tans, but everyone hates you. Or, a modern, more diplomatic force, but criminals take you less seriously.

remember, focus on fun. some cyoa games fall to the mistake of focusing on balancing and drawback systems and the "limitation worship" to the point that the game isn't fun anymore. if you can choose every option and basically hate all of them, you're not playing a cyoa, you're playing life.

A few things:
1) Pick a slightly less flashy font for anything that you're expected to read more than two sentences of
2) There's a few grammatical errors (should be "you ARE ascended", "Different", "lives", etc)
3) More jobs would be nice, possibly something with more direct involvement with life with fewer conditions? Or a greeter of sorts for the recently deceased who have gone to heaven with the later-on draw being that you can test the crazy-awesome rewards for people going there or something?

An idea I've had but that I haven't done anything with was a CYOA inspired by the couple of CYOAs I've seen where the idea is for different anons to build on each other's responses in which the idea would be to slowly build a world, and you'd get points for yourself by either coming up with different ideas for that world or by building on ideas other anons have come up with for that world.

I've started working on a new CYOA where you get summoned to be the demon lord of a fantasy world. I plan on adding sections that let you gain powers, minions, servants, and core guardians (basically super-minions). After that there will be a section that lets you choose where you start out in the world. Then there will be a kind of drawback section where Anastasia offers extra points to you in exchange for harsh deals. The last page will be Anastasia's goodbye, along with a few notes about the setting.
That's the plan for now.
