I want to live in the future, and I hate how mundane my flat looks.

I don't want just a fuarrrking "battlestation" decorated with blue neon lights and with a pile of cig butts, doritos and random tech lying around. (Like my friend's)

Here's my vision:

I want a clean slick view, order in a dystopic future. I want to know that everything out there is soykaf. AI is uncanny as hell, botwars are ravaging half of the world, automation fuarrrked up everything about the market, privacy doesn't exist and drugs and sexbots are ruining the youth… but I'm above that.

I feel like a fish in the water in all this. I benefit from all of that, and my place looks nice, not like a japanese soykafhole, rather like the rich fuarrrks that abuse the world. That's my fantasy. I'm not rich, so I just want the A E S and then do it myself.

Can you rec me some inspiration?

/fa/ techware and /wg/ tech threads are the closest.

Right now, Deus Ex is my best reference, because it looks futuristic but somehow "realistic" (or at least not retarded, no trying to look like an anime).

This is what the Deus Ex interior design is. Switch off the orange mist bullshit instagram filter and see how completely shitty it is. Also; that room contains no possessions. It's a big room that is not only not cluttered - it's not even lived in. That's the other reason why you think the room looks so nice. Because no one even fucking lives there. You don't need an art degree to be able to figure this shit.

Yes you can have what you want anon, but you will need a fog machine, a glue gun + glue, a soldering iron, some tin solder, some dowel rods, a shit ton of cardboard from behind a supermarket, about 60 LED light bulbs each one of which needs to be both dimmable and the right color temperature (neither too yellow nor too white), you're going to need to watch youtube videos on how to wire your own light fittings with inverters, and you're going to need to figure out how to then attach this monstrosity of a light fitting to your ceiling.

You would be better off anon if you went for a 1950's fallout style or industrial brutalism, because overdesigning things is a bullshit pattern that consistently crops up in steampunk/cyberpunk and once you take a step back to look at it you'll realise it's dumb as shit.

I have a cheap L shaped couch. Eventually I'm going to reinforce and reupholster it. Planning to add some soft indirect LED strip lighting. Also planning to build some angular, futuristic looking shelving and furniture, bolt some screens on boom arms playing a selection of /cyber/ gif images in one corner of the room, amd add some more utilitarian DIY stuff. I like clutter all over but a very much open path through my apartment.

Also my walls are painted red with a few orange walls by the last tenant here. My girlfriend and I loved the colors enough that we kept them. Also fun looking at such vibrant colors when you're stoned.
