My 12 year old daughter received a message from an unknown person asking for “Kim” my daughter replies with “wrong number” then he proceeds to ask a lot of questions. The conversation quickly became super weird. She eventually states that she is 12 and he replies saying he’s 35. The next day he text from a different number saying that he’d gotten a new number. He asks repeatedly for her to send pictures, about her being in a bikini, etc. The conversation is active as of 6/30 he was still messaging. I’ve contacted the local authorities (WA state ) I wanted to pass the phone to them so they could carry on and hopefully make an arrest but I haven’t received a reply yet. At this point I’m not sure if this was a random thing or if he targeted my daughter. So far, it just me trying to figure out how or what to do about the situation. Any help or direction would be so kind. Thanks.
