Here's the flashbacks. Sal robbed one store with Asher and his brother, then went to another store, chimped the fuck out, and tried to rob it. Ethan and Amber were there, she held Ethan hostage, Amber chimped out and turned the knife on Sal, slashing the niglet's hand. All of them are now fucked in the head forever except the STRAIGHT MALES.
I didn't think Asher knew for sure she was going to rob it, but I guess either he or his brother would expect her to chimp. There's also the knife she just took, so even if she was just minding her own business the crafty asians saw her as good bait for the cops to distract from their own robbery. As for whether she knew, she just figured someone else in or near the store called the cops, had no idea it was her partners in crime from 5 minutes ago trying to make a clean getaway. Obviously blacks are in immediate danger of murderous cops seconds away the moment they commit a crime, and Sal is for sure very black.

The action is really confusing here in the last panel, I think Walky is supposed to be right hooking Asher in the face judging by that bruise. That doesn't make any sense unless he's straining to turn his neck well past 90 degrees. Walky's also clearly punching at armpit level. Really he should be punching the back of Asher's head. It's a shame that Willis has created a world without character death here, would be hilarious for Walky to have punched the guy right in the brain stem. Maybe some gangsta shit, since we're already unnecessarily escalating the violence.

A big part of the problem is trying to squeeze 5 panels into a uniform aspect ratio. Notice how much of this comic is just heads and upper torsos, and it's made worse by being too focused on dialogue. This isn't the newspaper age; there's no reason not to zoom out and show the rest their bodies except being bad at doing anything interesting with the opportunity.

Clip Studio is actually pretty comfy.
I was first using Krita, the first two pics. But I was having trouble making a straight line which I thought it was mostly my fault.
Then turns out my Wacom could redeem 24 month pro subscription for a drawing software, I thought choosing Corel Draw but if I was thinking Krita was way too overcomplex for me I would be lost with Corel.
And Clip Studio, the other pics, was described as an official comic making software.
It has its own internal Social Network of artist and its own Marketplace of (mostly free) costumized brushes, it is way more intuitive than Krita and I'm not making any mistake I wouldn't do on paper.
But it's install, register and use, the vanilla is more than enough to start working.
The idea in having right now is to make layered anatomy, like, draw the skull sketch then the line art over it, then hide sketch and draw the fleshy face over the skull

I've done it. It can help figure some things out. But I always use a red brush, so that I can always tell if I look back through my sketches.
I'd advise copying real photos/diagrams before art though, other artists styles might look good but any flaws or quirks aren't what you should be copying.
