I feel that this battle came way to soon, a full blow civil war with both girls leading each faction would have feel more intriguing. But I think they are gonna end doing that anyways because of course they wouldn't kill off Sasha or at least heavily imply that. But yeah, here's were the series starts getting "mature" I wonder where they will go next, I suppose that the other girl will be the main point in the next season and maybe the box after that but only time can tell until they lose the focus and start inserting relationship shit and family drama.

I think by "relationship shit" he means "love triangles" and stringing along the audience with endless "Will they won't they" type love plots. Part of why Star Vs started to decline was that they had it shoehorn in contrivances to prevent Star and Marco from getting together like Star getting back with Tom and Marco getting with Kelly and wasting screentime that could have been used to flesh out other plot elements (although that's a whole other can of worms) with these relationships everyone knows won't go anywhere.
Hop Pop has a girlfriend, but there isn't any drama over it. She clearly like each other and there isn't any dancing around the bush about it. Same thing with Sprig and Ivy.
