Personally I think the robot style used in Medabots (medarot) is absolutely adorable. I love big shiny eyes and small lower face due to the lack of a mouth. It's a chibi-like style that really appeals to me, personally.
I also enjoyed the GBA game, Medabots (Metabee version)
In an offhand note about the game, the art looks terrible in character portraits specifically, but it has an amazing story that involves children catching actual pedophiles and the main character being forced to crossdress MANY times.(and characters always remark how stunningly attractive (((she))) is)

>You are forced to dress as a girl, skirt included, to lure them out
>Chase down bot to owner, boss-fight ensues.
Then later, after finding out more about the gang he was part of
>The (spoiler)amusement park was just a scam to lure in kids. The gang teamed up with a LOCAL PEDOPHILE who outright says she loves to kidnap cute kids there, which is why she had a job at the place to begin with.
