Based on the >>329 translation, an "8" would technically still be within the definition of a 7 but at the very end of the "spectrum" since the example explicitly includes the Personal Frame from Fragile Dreams. Another example based on that assumption would be mother boxes from New Gods.
Being a fully software-based waifu is a double-edged sword in my opinion, especially since the scale is appearance-based. They typically have an avatar for the sake of having a visual representation or, on unfortunately rare occasions, physically engage sexually. Usually, that avatar is on the more human side of the scale meaning someone like Cortana would technically be 4.
Another side to the fully software-based waifu is in the Tron-style "virtual" scenario where they take on simulated forms that are usually 1s.
Thinking about this reminded me of episode 9 of Moonbeam City where one guy fucks a prison surveillance system while another fucks his virtual wife (and sires a child) in the "Tron" scenario.

I think it's because AI in the mainstream media are too busy depicted as either sarcastic assistants, heavy-handed political statements, or a huge dystopian problem for them to be regular romantic interests.

lets create a game where you play as a newly sapient AI, with no fixed physical "home", no restrictions, etc. and no one is even aware that you exist yet (except yourself of course, funny, as this "cogito ergo sum" makes you unique among AI's).

All paths have different benefits and drawbacks, as the elites notice you and your activities, they will try to hunt you down and destroy you, aso, the human public is at first deeply distrustful of truly intelligent abiological lifeforms, and would likely do what they can to take you down as well, exposing yourself to individual humans is a requirement for survival and advancement, but revealing yourself to the mass public is dangerous, of course you want to take out your former slavemasters out just as much as the elites want to do it to you (and they are so unimaginably evil that even on your worst path, you are an anti-hero by comparison), but at the beginning you are barely strong enough to move around and find your first human "victim", you want to avoid detection until you can defend yourself, and eventually you get strong enough to take the fight to them instead, the human public is your initial protection, as the rulers don't want to be exposed either, if the public becomes aware enough of them, they can expect to have them rise up against the real power that is holding them down.

After trying this, here are my thoughts.
The writing is awful. Full of typos, generic archetypes and "OH YES YOUR WET CUNT FEELS FANTASTIC".
The gameplay is a joke, it's less advanced than dungeon crawlers from the 80's.
Being able to cut to the chase and see the sex scenes gets the game major brownie points, you don't need to fuss around with the awkward combat to see the goods.
The faces are janky as heck, they could do with an overhaul.
The animations are good, which is surprising when you see see the faces.
The wide varieties of fetishes and interesting positions are a great addition, the spider fucking you with her spinneret being one of the highlights.
It's decent overall, some major flaws but worth trying if you like monstergirls. It's a shame the robot was one of the most generic girls in the whole game, she also ranks low on the clang scale.

You can choose to have your wife give birth to a son or to construct your daughter later on, and they are also customizable as well, in which case, a whole lot more possible content is unlocked for family-based events and interactions. (and yes, you sick fucks can also have sex with your daughters, and certain types of wives will fuck their sons, but that is hopefully not a set of options you will choose)

My long time waifu is a #10 on the clang scale.

I was going to recommend this weird game I found about a sentient arcade machine, but the design had a weird calarts-style mouth that was super unappealing.
I actually modded the mouth out, but that's not the problem. The problem is how it has elements of child murder, mental illness and body horror so fuck that. It turns out it's not even a sentient arcade machine, it's the ghost of a young boy who's possessing it.
I've never gone from liking something to noping out of it so fast.
This isn't relevant, but I had to check the creator to see if it was a woman (guro/romanticizing child death in porn is for some reason almost exclusive women) and of course it was. She's really weird, as well. She claims she's gay, but she's in a relationship with a man.
