He should be saying that about any pizza that isn't thin & crispy (and even then it's the wrong dough but at least it's as similar as you'll get) and pretty much anything that isn't margherita.

Authentic pizza is shit compared to the monstrosities we have these days.

It's kind of sad though that atleast on my country despite there being pizzerias on every corner you really have to look hard to find a place that serves "italian" style pizza and then it's much more expensive than the "american" style that gets served on every fucking restaurant.

i mean how much more expensive it can be to use more tomato sauce and less cheese for once?

I really dont get the fixation some people have with curry sauce/mayo on top of pizza like fuck it's only gonna steal the taste out of other toppings making everything taste like cheesy curry unless it's some bland as fuck shit-tier curry.

Also onions as a topping, pineapple actually goes with most other toppings but onions are kinda hard to make work with different variations and also hard to make them work at all overall.

As long as it's not soggy, then it's delicious. I'm going to pretend that people who don't like pineapple pizza just had soggy pizza, because I can't understand any other reason not to like it. So what if it's sweet? It goes well with the tomato juice, and moderate sweetness shouldn't be a problem if the pie isn't drenched in grease.

It's supposed to be a minor topping, to act as a counterpoint to other flavors, and you're supposed to cook it enough so it's not sopping wet.

Sweet/spicy works (sriracha anyone?), so pairing pineapple with a spicy ingredient (perhaps an extra-spicy pepperoni) works OK. Drain the pineapple, maybe press it a little first… or use fresh pineapple, sliced thinly.

for subpar, mediocre, ho-hum, or even notbad.jpg pizza, it's gross. The pineapple is too sweet, lacks any tang or actual flavour and the juices, which just taste like sugar, bleed all over the pie. It usually comes with a shitty crust that can get soggy, and the other toppings aren't great quality either.

The ham that is usually used on ham and pineapple is typically bland, if you're lucky, it might be noticeably salty (like me).

A quality pineapple pizza can breddy gud. With a crispy crust, meat that's got some bite, a bit of something spicy, and grilled pineapple that's not chunked too large, can be rather tasty. But still, not top tier.

Bumbin dis pizza thred.

Anyone here got experience in using Pizza stone?

I ordered one, apparently a decent one that's square instead of round and also cake/pizza-shovel thingy for easier puttings of pizza into stone and takings it out of there's.

Any tips how to use it etc?

The shovel is called a PEEL.

With the pizza stone, you're basically trying to simulate an earthen, or clay, or tile oven (to a degree). You preheat the hell out of it (just like charging a wood-fired oven, only less time consuming because less thermal mass), then put your pizza or bread on it to bake. The crust should develop a different texture, because you are now cooking with direct heat as well as convective (air) and radiant heat.

My other limited experience suggests rubbing some oil on it to develop a seasoning layer MAY help slightly. This should happen naturally as you use it for a year, as traces of oil fall off the dough and season the stone… but maybe you could speed the process with a few drops of cooking oil and a paper towel.

There is something oddly satisfying about adding salt to a slice of greasy pepperoni pizza.

Once you're down to the crust, dipping in ranch or whatever isn't a terrible idea. It may be a little odd to dip the whole slice in ranch (I usually use marinara), but different folks and strokes and shit.

I have been known to smear miracle whip all over the top of a slice of cold leftover pizza. Not particularly desiring to smear grape jelly on a sandwich (an ex used to do that - on top of the sandwich, not inside), but I am known to take that canned cranberry sauce and smear that on toast to make a turkey sandwich. I personally like it, but it's definitely not my go to pizza.

Stuffed crust with mushrooms, onions, and black olives. Truly a patrician taste.

bacon and pineapple on a pizza might be a perversion of what pizza should be but that shit's delicious and I will not apologize for enjoying it. But pepperoni or sausage, onions, olives, bell pepper, and mushrooms is the superior topping combination

I like to use mustard instead of ketchup. But Mayo is pretty good too, I hope you got to try out Pouine in the three years since you posted.

Since East Indians own basically all of the pizza joints around here a few places have Butter Chicken pizza. Obviously mileage will very depending on how good their butter chicken or whatever curry they use for it.

Since I feel like this will always be about weather someone likes pineapple rather then should it actually be on there, I present this.

Taco Pizza, yay or nay? I honestly don't give a shit what people think, you get use to the lettece, the place I know that does it has sour cream on it that just really sets it off. And It's the only pizza I would actually want to eat cold.

It's okay with decent ham but there are better ways to add some sweetness in your pizza like:

>onions

>bell peppers

>tomatoes

>artichokes

>eggplant

>zucchini

And probably many more vegetables.

Yeesh man. You gotta be careful with vegetables on pizza. Shit like fresh tomatoes or zucchini will release fuck tons of juice and turn your pizza into a watery mess.

Pineapple, banana pepper, bbq, and maybe chicken or pork is one hell of a sweet, meaty treat. Bet it'd be even better if the bbq was replaced with mango habanero sauce or something akin.

Pineapple and pretty much everything else. Every now and then, I like to go to those pizza places where they give the same price no matter what you put on it.

Everywhere else: I can make you a better tasting, cheaper pizza.

Perfect pizza is made first in the dough, and the sauce. And then making sure the cheese is good, goes well with the sauce.

And then, personally, it is some sort of chili pepper, and good meat, whether it is chicken, beef, or something of a hard sausage.

Is correct.

He was probably referring to pizzas made with cream instead of tomato sauce; flammenkueches use a different dough, they're closer to a pie than a pizza.
