No. Franco destroyed Spain by constantly making false promises of a restoration of the House of Bourbon; the legitimate and True conveyor of power in Patria Espana (My family emigrated from Spain to England after Franco began persecuting royalists).
Fast forward to today, and Spain is being ruled by her enemies because of Franco the egoist and his refusal to step down and restore the crown, per his promises made before seizing power. For the span of his rule, he gaslit royalists with false promises but never had any intention of stepping down.
He was also an inveterate murderer and overall friend of the world.
