I had bad anxiety as a kid. The church was so big, I'd get vertigo just sitting there.

Religious Jew here.

If Jesus actually rose from the dead then why didn't he just appear in the Temple to everybody? He could have showed himself to his executors, to Pilate and to Caiaphas, but he didn't. If his resurrection proves he is the Messiah of Israel, then why didn't he fulfill any of the Messianic prophecies of the Messiah through his resurrection like restoring the lost tribes of Israel that Yeshayahu Ha-Navi predicted? Your religion doesn't make sense guys. There's a real theological reason we don't accept your Rabbi as the Messiah, and it's mainly to do with the fact that he did not fulfill the Messianic prophecies of the Tanakh. You can spew all your silly antisemitic conspiracy nonsense all you want, it's not going to work though. Just get over it.

>If Jesus actually rose from the dead then why didn't he just appear in the Temple to everybody?

Atheists also say, if God actually exists, why doesn't he just appear to everybody.

>If his resurrection proves he is the Messiah of Israel, then why didn't he fulfill any of the Messianic prophecies of the Messiah

He was born in the right place, was called out of Egypt, called a Nazarene (Isaiah 11:1), not a bone of his body was broken, they pierced his hands and feet (Psalm 22). After 69 weeks from the order to rebuild Jerusalem in 454 BC, the Messiah was cut off, but not for himself (Daniel 9:26, Ezra 7:13). Any Messianic prophecy you can name Jesus will fulfill.

>like restoring the lost tribes of Israel that Isaiah predicted?

He does do that, you just misunderstand what the prophecy means.

>Your religion doesn't make sense guys.

As it says "the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

>You can spew all your silly antisemitic conspiracy nonsense all you want, it's not going to work though. Just get over it.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I guess it was when I visited the orthodox church but I guess it doesn't count since it's my church now. Maybe it was the last time I went to the church of Christ which is the denomination that I was raised in.

Visting a false church is a mortal sin.

So, the question is best answered in a confessional.

What constitutes a false church?

New here, and quite curious, sorry if this is common sense.

You have 2000 different denominations of protestants and 1 Catholic faith which has been the same for almost 2000 years.

You tell me which one is the true church and why.

>>851446

Then say which Church is true or explain why God can't make up his mind.

The church, catholic and invisible, is true and composed of all believers. There are also local congregations also called churches which can each profess an orthodox confession of the gospel or not.

What is not in keeping with the bible is to refer to an institution as a church other than all Christians or the local church

>The church, catholic and invisible, is true and composed of all believers.

Almost right

> There are also local congregations also called churches which can each profess an orthodox confession of the gospel or not.

And that is where you went wrong.

1. God created the Church on Saint Peter, the 1st Bishop of Rome.

2. God promised his Church would prevail against the gate of hell up to the end time.

3. God gave powers to his disciples to forgive sins.

From 1 & 2 it's clear that the powers of the Bishop of Rome must be handed down. It did not disappear and then was rediscovered by a King who wanted to divorce his wives rather than slander them and chop their heads off, or some bad monk who lusted after a nun and saw nothing wrong in bigamy.

There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

>What is not in keeping with the bible is to refer to an institution as a church other than all Christians or the local church

If they were Christians, they would go to his church and not splinter off into some false church were they can do this or that sin.
