6a1b2e No.9470 [Last50 Posts]

The year is early 2013, as the Brain Scorcher within the Zone of Alienation, bordering within Ukraine and nearby Belarus, has been deactivated by a STALKER named 'Marked One'. STALKERs, Dutiers, Freedomers, looters, and bandits alike have flocked towards the center of the zone, in hopes of a treasure trove of artifacts, or for the legendary wish granter. Whether you decide to adventure deeper within the lands of The Zone, or stay, only you can choose. Or perhaps you'd like to start your own band of STALKERs, or possibly a faction?

Fluff: Jack and Jill were perhaps the most famous gypsy duo who wandered around Russia. They didn't shun the Gypsy stereotypes, they outright embraced them. Conning and thievery, fortune tellers and mysterious lovers. They indulged in it all. They made a great deal of cash… and then Jack died. A stupid accident down some stairs and a broken neck.

Jill wandered around aimlessly for a while, no longer feeling the spice of her previous life…. and wandered into the Zone.

Name: Emil Javinsky

Age: 18

Appearance:

Gender: Male

Skills: [Do not fill out]

Gear: [Do not fill out]

Fluff: Many do not know the origins of the zone, that the Russian government had a hand in it's research and subsequent expansion in the face of threats. You see, Emil was born to the zone long before the Stalkers arrived to put down their claim and the emissions became prevalent. Born due the union of a drunken soldier and a female scientist, Emil was rushed out of the Chernobyl Research facility upon his birth for fear what radiation would do to him. He never knew his mother as she reportedly "dissapeared" along with half of the other scientists but his father was always there for him. On his off days, he would travel from his post to spend time with Emil and things were happy for a time.

Thats when the zone pushed back. His father was dead and nobody would tell him anything asides that there had also been many other disapearances. To say that Emil was angry would be an understatement. He tried so many times to find what happened to his father legitmately buy the government would not budge. So, Emil decided he would take the matter into his own hands. Using his savings to buy supplies, he travels into the zone with only memories of his father's lessons to guide him. He will find his family or die trying.

Gender: Male

Skills: [Do not fill out]

Gear: [Do not fill out]

Fluff: Ivan's father was a Ukranian factory worker in Kiev. His mother was a baker's apprentice. Back in '86 when Chernobyl's fourth reactor went supercritical, Sergei Vishinski fled with his pregnant wife to Romania, hoping to avoid the radiation issuing from the Zone. As it turned out, the move was unnecessary, as Kiev was not very affected by the incident. In any event, Ivan enlisted in the Romanian Army when he turned 17 and was moved to Kosovo to work as a sniper with KFOR. He helped keep the peace there for a while, but moved back home when he no longer needed to serve. Taking orders wasn't for him. On the bus home, he heard about the Zone and all of the crap people left begind there. As soon as the bus stopped in Kiev, Ivan hitched a ride in the covered back of a pick up truck taking supplies to soldiers in the zone. The driver was happy to take Ivan and his few possessions into the zone. Now that he's here, Ivan plans on making his fortune any way he can, though it would be preferable for other people to do the work for him. It's easier to take an artefact from a dead man than it is to take one from a mutant infested cave.

You manage to find a rookie walking around in the village you're in. You walk up to him, and ask if he'd like to go scavenging with you. He agrees, and you both head out.

While you were off to travel, you saw a pack of boars in the distance, fighting off some sort of humanoid figure, or something else. What is it? Hell if you know.

You come across an abandoned school, of average size. The entrance would be worn down, and the windows shattered and tattered. You might be able to see more if you peek through the window.

1. Well, I'm here now. The Zone. It's huge and I don't know quite where to start. Perhaps I'll slink around some buildings, look for loot while I'm in there. I'll keep my eye out for other S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s. They could be trouble or good news.

No problem, man. Its fun to make games for people, I like doing it.

>You begin to just simply wander around, looking for buildings to scavenge in. In the distance, would be a hotel. The doors to the building would appear to be very rusted, maybe stuck open. The sign on-top of the doors would be extremely rusted as well, with signs of it possibly falling down soon, and electricity sometimes sparking out of the letters. To the right of you, just barely, you see two humanoid-looking figures walking. They appear to have their weapons out, though you can't seem to identify the model or what type of weapon it is.

The color would be a disgusting brown, along with the metal sections of the chalk-board being rusted heavily. Foliage, dust, and cobwebs are seen all throughout the corridor. Spiders are seen crawling about the top of the building, doing their own things, and there would be a set of stairs to the right of you. Suddenly, though, some sort of mutant creature appears out of nowhere, ramming into the rookie that ventured with you. Gear: [Makarov] 3x[Makarov Magazine] [9x18mm Box of Ammo] [Sausage On a Stick] [650 Rubles] [Photograph]

Fluff: Ivan's father was a Ukrainian factory worker in Kiev. On the bus home, he heard about the Zone and all of the crap people left behind there. It's easier to take an artifact from a dead man than it is to take one from a mutant infested cave.

Sorry about the late reply. It's a bit of a non-standard game you've got going here. It's nice. A bit of 4chan promptness and a bit of the 8chan permanence.

1. I'll lie in wait for the two. I don't want to get shot and I want to be able to get a better read on them and their intentions. The nearest hole in the ground should work, along with any wall tall enough to hide me. Once they're nearby, I'll listen to their conversation. If they seem friendly or friendly enough, I'll reveal myself carefully and diplomatically. I might do one of two things if they seem unfriendly. I could attack from behind when they're not aware, or I could lie low if they seem like too much of a challenge.

Gear: [Makarov] 3x[Makarov Magazine] [9x18mm Box of Ammo] [Sausage On a Stick] [650 Rubles] [Photograph]

Fluff: Ivan's father was a Ukrainian factory worker in Kiev. On the bus home, he heard about the Zone and all of the crap people left behind there. It's easier to take an artifact from a dead man than it is to take one from a mutant infested cave.

1. The arrival of the newcomers could herald a confrontation. Should one arise, I'll wait until it is over and stealthily pick off the survivors. If the two groups merge, I'll gauge their intentions and act on that information. If they turn out to be benign, I'll hail them diplomatically. If they are hostile, I'll wait for them to move by. You finish scavenging, and decide its time to head back into town. You leave via the front entrance, starting to walk back to the rookie village.

>Fluff: Ingrid grew up with tales of her grandfather, a tank gunner for the Wehrmacht, listening to them at the man's feet she found herself fascinated with the tales of combat and war, eventually her grandfather died, leaving his old war uniform to her. She eventually grew up, bored with her normal life and hearing stories about the "Zone" and how there were all sorts of things that could be found there. Eventually she decided that she would take her grandfathers old uniform and go explore the zone, maybe she could relive the stories she had been told there.

1. Huh, so this is the zone, well might as well start searching around, let us look for something interesting.

Name: Ivan Vishinski

Age: 27

Appearance: Tall, physically fit. Short dark hair, odd-eyed (blue-green). Slightly rounded face.

Gender: Male

Skills: [Tricky] +10 when trying to convince people to enter dangerous areas, or search for artifacts.

Gear: [Makarov] 3x[Makarov Magazine] [18x18mm Box of Ammo] [Sausage On a Stick] 2x[Tourist's Delight] [650 Rubles] [Photograph] [PDA w/ Stash Coordinates] [Locked Box]

Fluff: Ivan's father was a Ukrainian factory worker in Kiev. On the bus home, he heard about the Zone and all of the crap people left behind there. It's easier to take an artifact from a dead man than it is to take one from a mutant infested cave.

1. Finally, that unpleasant experience has passed. It's time to venture out into the Zone proper. Perhaps I can find the stash marked in the coordinates. Maybe I can find a way to open the odd box on the way.

You set out, and explore the zone to try and find goodies! As you walk through the road by the village, you manage to find several old, abandoned buildings everywhere around you. There would be a car park, a hotel, a school, a building leading underground, and a bridge by the north.

There would also be several STALKER corpses near the buildings, and in the green fields of grass, nearby. So many choices!

>>9683

You.. cant. This is it. This is your end. As you try to wake up from your unconcious state, your brain doesnt respond. Nothing responds. You cant feel the ground, you cant hear anything, or even dream.

…Has the zone claimed another life?

>>9686

You pack up, and leave the hotel, with the box in your hands. As you look for the stash location in the PDA, a loud *CRRACK* whizzes over your head, along with the sound of a rifle discharging nearby.

1. It's trench time again. I don't need a sniper taking my head off on my first day in the Zone. Once I'm safely in cover, whether that means a ditch, a building, a wall, or simply a tree, I'll see if I can use something reflective in my pack to scout out the sniper's position.
