In the year 2020 a combination of economic hardship, social pressure, corruption, and a deceleration of war most assumed would lead to a nuclear war to encompass the world, lead to the an event of anarchy and revolution at a global scale known as the Collapse. War was averted before any WMDs were fired off but the chaos spread beyond all control. Cities burned, nations fell, corporations were ransacked, and multiple movements began and ended trying to push the masses to their agenda. The date is now March 8th, 2021 and while the fires burn they have begun to smolder. Can you pick up the ashes and forge a world in your image, or will you be part of another nation's history books?

Funds: 10 + 1/turn (Funds are a catch all for money, valuables, and other resources. Some territory gives more funds than others, based on resources there. Projects, Units, Scientists, and possibly other stuff all cost funds to build and maintain.)
Units: 2 Militia (10/10)[Infantry][Untrained] (Your military. They kill shit for you and can be called in to crush dissidents. Makes sure you can't be rushed down. All units have descriptor tags that let you easily know what they are. Your two free Militia for example are infantry, have 10 people in them, and are untrained. I will try to describe tags as they come up, and as such untrained units get a -5 when fighting any non-untrained units.)
Approval: 75% (How much your people arn't rioting and trying to start a revolution. 50 is indifference. 35 is protesting. 25 is riots. 15 and lower and you are fighting revolutionaries unless there are extraordinary circumstances.)
Blueprints: None (You need to make these before you make a unit. These are the units and special shit you know how to make. For infantry it is their equipment.)
Tech: None (What you know how to build and make. Stuff like coilguns and ceramic armor. Due to the collapse quite a bit of data became harder to reach but not impossible, but you will generally start with either no or a few techs based on your backstory. Don't worry though as you can easily try to scrounge through old factories, military sites, wrecks, and non-burned libraries and servers to look for info.)
Projects: None (You don't need to worry about the small things like building hospitals, but you do need to fund them. Generally these are initiatives such as building health centers in all your cities, increasing police protection, building more roads or rail lines, or building large ports and air ports.)
Other Assets: None (Special buildings, boats, wonders and other such nice things. Because when you are king of the Caribbean why not have a private cruise liner?)
Ongoing research: None (Every turn there will be a certain amount of breakthroughs in research from scientists around the world. Some are of interest to you. These will be displayed for all to see, unless there are special circumstances. All players may bid on these and the highest bidder wins the research. This will take a few turns to complete. Without building projects you may only have two ongoing research. As well they increase by 2/turn with unclaimed tech only increasing by 1/turn.)
Laws: (Mainly fluff. These are the laws outside of the normal murder, theft, ect. as well as unusual punishments outside of the western norms. Free to declare laws. They may affect other stuff such as projects, recruitment, approval, or funds.)
Da rures:
Combat - combat is initiated by attackers sending out a force or forces to specific locations. Defender then decides what forces defend that those locations. Troop movement is free and you can pm me on discord who is going where. Both sides then PM me battle strategies and their order of troops. Both sides roll a d10 for each unit in order, opposed by the units in the same order. The side with more troops have them loop back up to the top. Terrain and sometimes strategy can give units bonuses. Weapons tech gives bonuses to troops, armor tech imposes penalties to enemies. Some armor might not work well against certain weapon types. Type advantages, such as anti-tank or anti-air, give massive bonuses against those types.

Common tags:
[Infantry][Armor][Aircraft][Ship][Vehicle] - Denote the type of unit. Ship will be replaced by the class of ship, such as Aircraft Carrier or Battleship. Vehicles are light to no armored things like cars. Ships can not usually be harmed by anything but artillery, Ships, and Aircraft unless a transport ship attempts a boarding. Aircraft get a -3 when fighting ground targets.
[Anti-X] - Get a +5 if up against what they are good at. So an Anti-armor unit gets +5 against armor.
[Stealth] - See the section on Stealth Units.
[Untrained] - This unit has little to no actual training and is pretty much cannon fodder. Get a -5 fighting anything that isn't also untrained. Cheap though.
[Disciplined] - This unit has gone through extensive training. They usually have fewer people in the unit, and cost more to maintain. Get a +3 against all non-disciplined units.
[Veterans] - If a unit survives 5 battles without losing more than half of their health then they automatically get this tag. Veteran units can reroll 1s in combat.
[Suicide] - Good old suicide bombers. Get a +10 in combat but will die in that combat round.
[Transport X] - Can carry that many infantry, or 1/2 as many vehicles, or 1/4 as many armor. Things specialized to carry those unit types, such as aircraft carriers, only need 1 slot for what they are specialized in.
[Sniper] - Take half damage from infantry and get a +2 to fighting infantry.
[Armored X, Type] - This unit has heavy armor that can't be pierced by normal weapons. Damaged from certain weapons get reduced by X. This includes stuff like bio-hazard suits.
[Artillery] - Takes no damage from Infantry, Armor, and Vehicles without the Sniper or Artillery tags. -5 vs Aircraft if it doesn't also have the Anti-Aircraft tag.
[Pierce X, type] - Counters armor
[Hovering][Bomber] - Aircraft tags, removes the penalty to fighting ground targets. Hover get an extra +3 as well and Bombers can be used to attack and damage Projects.
[Amphibious] - Don't get terrain penalties from going between land and sea or river crossings.
[Para] - Means you don't need to land a transport aircraft to deploy these troops.
[Merc] - This unit is a hired mercenary. They are expensive, can't be healed, and will leave your service when their contract is up or they reach half health. More than one unit may come with them. They also don't have to be put on your sheet!
Stealth units - There are stealth units that cost a lot. They can hide from radar or are trained to be stealthy. If a small force is only composed of stealthy units there is a chance the defender will not be told the destination of an attack. If you declare an attack in the public thread they are considered to know where the attack is going, pm me that shit. You can also try to make an entire army stealthy but this takes actions to prepare. Feel free to pm me those actions.
Entrenching - you can use actions to set up defenses in an area your troops are in. This goes up to a max of +5 and is based on the accumulated successes. You must do this BEFORE the turn you are attacked, if you are attacked the same turn you start fortifying you get half benefits rounded down.

Espionage and sabotage - You can set up spy rings in other players nations. These give you a bonus to finding out about surprise attacks and secret actions of that player. You can also attempt to sabotage a project or asset, assassinate a character, or steal a tech by expending a level of the spy ring with a free action. You can expend more than one for bonuses to the roll. Counter espionage is used to reduce their bonuses in finding secret actions and attacks, as well as defending against spy ring actions.
Troop movement, positions, and interception - You MUST have down where your troops are at all times. Troops may move a reasonable amount based on their unit type (I will base it off of real life examples). For movement you can move as far as your units or transports can move in a month. For intercepting armies to defend that time is down to a week but you can stop the attackers from reaching their destination if you have armies reasonably close and in the way. A level 1 spy ring in a country allows you to know where their armies are if they are not moving. Be reasonable, cars and tanks use roads, planes need airports and ships need ports.
Labs, Universities, and education - Just to make things clear. Universities increase how fast tech is researched. Specialized universities work better in their specialized field. Labs increase rolls to making blueprints and can be specialized as well.
Research - To do research you need to bid on a researcher against the other players and sometimes NPCs. This is a one time payment and will take time to finish the research. Afterwards you get a tech that can be used for making unit blueprints or projects. A random amount of researchers will be added to the bidding pool every turn. The max researchers in the pool is 3 at start but increases as projects related to higher education are made.
Other notes: A lot of shit got abandoned. Feel free to scrounge around for shit to repair or get research from it.
It can generally be assumed that if it isn't something cutting edge today someone in your lands knows how to make it.
