In the year 2020 a combination of economic hardship, social pressure, corruption, and a deceleration of war most assumed would lead to a nuclear war to encompass the world, lead to the an event of anarchy and revolution at a global scale known as the Collapse. War was averted before any WMDs were fired off but the chaos spread beyond all control. Cities burned, nations fell, corporations were ransacked, and multiple movements began and ended trying to push the masses to their agenda. The date is now March 8th, 2021 and while the fires burn they have begun to smolder. Can you pick up the ashes and forge a world in your image, or will you be part of another nation's history books?

Funds: 10 + 1/turn (Funds are a catch all for money, valuables, and other resources. Some territory gives more funds than others, based on resources there. Projects, Units, Scientists, and possibly other stuff all cost funds to build and maintain.)

Units: 2 Militia (10/10)[Infantry][Untrained] (Your military. They kill shit for you and can be called in to crush dissidents. Makes sure you can't be rushed down. All units have descriptor tags that let you easily know what they are. Your two free Militia for example are infantry, have 10 people in them, and are untrained. I will try to describe tags as they come up, and as such untrained units get a -5 when fighting any non-untrained units.)

Approval: 75% (How much your people arn't rioting and trying to start a revolution. 50 is indifference. 35 is protesting. 25 is riots. 15 and lower and you are fighting revolutionaries unless there are extraordinary circumstances.)

Blueprints: None (You need to make these before you make a unit. These are the units and special shit you know how to make. For infantry it is their equipment.)

Tech: None (What you know how to build and make. Stuff like coilguns and ceramic armor. Due to the collapse quite a bit of data became harder to reach but not impossible, but you will generally start with either no or a few techs based on your backstory. Don't worry though as you can easily try to scrounge through old factories, military sites, wrecks, and non-burned libraries and servers to look for info.)

Projects: None (You don't need to worry about the small things like building hospitals, but you do need to fund them. Generally these are initiatives such as building health centers in all your cities, increasing police protection, building more roads or rail lines, or building large ports and air ports.)

Other Assets: None (Special buildings, boats, wonders and other such nice things. Because when you are king of the Caribbean why not have a private cruise liner?)

Ongoing research: None (Every turn there will be a certain amount of breakthroughs in research from scientists around the world. Some are of interest to you. These will be displayed for all to see, unless there are special circumstances. All players may bid on these and the highest bidder wins the research. This will take a few turns to complete. Without building projects you may only have two ongoing research. As well they increase by 2/turn with unclaimed tech only increasing by 1/turn.)

Laws: (Mainly fluff. These are the laws outside of the normal murder, theft, ect. as well as unusual punishments outside of the western norms. Free to declare laws. They may affect other stuff such as projects, recruitment, approval, or funds.)

Da rures:

Combat - combat is initiated by attackers sending out a force or forces to specific locations. Defender then decides what forces defend that those locations. Troop movement is free and you can pm me on discord who is going where. Both sides then PM me battle strategies and their order of troops. Both sides roll a d10 for each unit in order, opposed by the units in the same order. The side with more troops have them loop back up to the top. Terrain and sometimes strategy can give units bonuses. Weapons tech gives bonuses to troops, armor tech imposes penalties to enemies. Some armor might not work well against certain weapon types. Type advantages, such as anti-tank or anti-air, give massive bonuses against those types.

Fluff: With the fall of the Old ways and the collapse of society, chaos overtook much of the world, as the once orderly society of man was reduced once again to the law of the jungle. The cities, ever hives of scum and villany, and neoliberals too cowardly to stop the waves of "disenfranchised youth" that they used to elect themselves, were the worst off, many reduced to smoldering ruins or lawless zones where every manner of barbarism took place. In the rural areas, where the tight bonds of friendship and family still ran strong, and a sense of community was not an abnormal thing, the light of civilization still burned, though somewhat diminished by the fall. Unburdened from supporting the dens of vice that we're the cities, small towns and dormant factories sprung to life, their resources no longer devoted to supporting the lumbering malignant tumors of the crumbling citites. Farms could devote their yields to their neighbors and friends, instead of being forced to export it to places far and wide in order to make a profit. The people united under their common culture and ideals, and banded together to form a new world, a better world. Where a man will be judged by the product of his labors as apposed to the "oppression" he committed/suffered under, where people took care of the land and each other, and those that would seek to grow fat off the labors of others would be removed, and a strong military that would not stand idly by, confined by the restrictions and regulations of the military industrial complex and their lobbyist scum.

A new dawn was rising for the Midwest, a new Reich, where the Volk would make their own future, under the glorious leadership of Fuhrer Schmidt.

Thankfully some kind citizens were willing to let you use their boats to transport your troops. It would have been unreasonable to walk across half the world. It is expected to take about a month to reach the old borders of Serbia where the group is expected to be. (In 2 turns your troops will reach the Serbian area.)

Your engineers go to take apart the guns but find them missing. Your security footage has also been damaged and no witnesses have come forward. It is obvious the guns were stolen but there are whispers that it was an inside job.

The engineers are paid and they take a look at it. Simple design really, just carriers but the hardest part is getting the ceramics used in the body armor and the material for the threads right. Thankfully the right equipment for such research was easily found in the north and work was finished easily. +Tech: Modern Infantry Armor (Gives Infantry [Armored 1; Kinetics] tag)

It is not all, in fact. Looking north of the DMZ more American gear can be found. Sadly quite a bit is damaged beyond functioning or reverse engineering but some are damaged just enough to be useful. This includes a scouting drone that seems to have been shot down by a lucky infantryman and softly crashed into a tree, and a couple of Humvees. (Both 3 successes to reverse engineer. Will take 3 Funds each)

Work gets done on reverse engineering the patrol boat. They are getting a bit stuck on the guns the thing has, and the radar equipment, but it should not be too much longer. (2/3 -3 Funds)

The expansion goes well and the call goes out over all frequencies. The offer of safety from the 'liberal' forces. The call goes over far better than expected and many from all over the west coast come to your call. While it is expected your approval ratings will not rise just due to how high they are currently the sheer amount of effort shown by those who have heard your words bring manly tears to many of the major political figures of the empire. While many begin to aid in reconstruction or just getting a job to fuel the war effort there are three notable groups that come into Empire lands saying they want to help fight.

Brotherhood of Free Men - deserters from BLM and other militant left leaning groups. Dirg's Raiders - a group of pirates that have attacked feminist held camps by rivers and the sea and freed many. Breakout Company - a group of delivery women who went about helping to smuggle men out of the most dangerous areas. Give tech: Basic Autonomous vehicles (+1 Funds/turn/10 territory, only work on proper roads currently) 2 Units: Autonomous Transports (5/5) [Vehicle] [Transport: 5]

With some negotiation the warlord is willing to fold his territory in with that of the DRHK in return for a favorable position in the government and allowance to keep his resources. His troops, however, return to their normal jobs seemingly having been pressed into the military after hearing of your expansion. +3 Territory, +4 Funds/turn

Many people are mixed at being forcibly expelled from the homes but having the opportunity to get a job. Either way factories start to open up and output goods. -2 Funds, +1 Funds/turn.

The roads are fixed in short order. No one was going around tearing up roads after all. Most of the damages were from normal wear and tear and were easy enough to fix, and some were even expanded upon. (only cost 3 Funds, get 2 back)

James Guntham - An Australian. He says he has created a useful micro-robot. About the size of an insect it can create lift due to some plastic wings, or otherwise crawl on the ground. While he says they would be useful for exploring places humans can't go due to size it is not lost on intelligence experts that this tech could be used for espionage. (Micro-drones: 0/20; +1 on espionage attempts)

Jasmine Lockheed - An African American woman from the American south. A former researcher on the TALOS team, and one of the few remaining after some accidents and being targeted by chinese spies. She has been working on the TALOS suit and thinks she can get a version to work if she can get a prototype. The TALOS suit was an American power armor, for lack of a better term. While this workable version won't increase the user's strength too much it does allow for better weight distribution including some shock absorption for firing weapons, more armor, and a camera to perceive threats from farther away. (Inception Power Armor: 0/25; Gives [Armored 2; Ballistics, Energy] or increases it by 2 for infantry only.)

Truly, as the Midwestern Reich was shaping up to the hotspot of learning and culture in this new world, we would do well to have Ms. Lockheed's intelligence at our new Research Institute, and would offer her the gracious gift of 9 "funds" for her services.

1. All the Mid-Dollars in the world will be useless without a physical unit with which to set their value by, and if there was one resource close at hand with which to set the value of currency with, it is the gold at Ft. Knox, just east of us. Have some intrepid souls scout out the base, see if anyone else has laid claim to the fort.

2. And in preparation for this, our military could do with a refit as well. Though our brave militia soldiers may be eager in spirit, they could certainly do with more training, and perhaps better equipment as well.

3. Finally, the next great goal of the Midwestern Reich was the foundations of industry, and with that we must return to the burnt husk of the city centers, for in their lies the belly of the industrial beast. Louisville would prove an adequate location for this, being both on a river and having a strong industrial base. The city would be scouted for any hostile parties first obviously.

Hope grew dim for those born with the mark of "privilege", but that all changed when a man named Max Armstrong led the captured slaves in a great revolt against the BLM and Antifa oppressors, eventually earning their freedom after they proved too much for their captors to handle. Max Armstrong would then build a new kingdom for his people, known as Cascadia, where white cis males could live in peace and freedom.

During this time the people descended into savage tribalism and had started genociding one another in an attempt to secure what little food remained. This was compounded by almost all whites in Africa refusing to give up their food which made many countries entire agricultural base nonexistent. In the end only isolated settlements which had already established themselves independently were the only ones to get out relatively unscathed. With communication reestablished after the collapse all the settlements banded together to form the Afrikaner Union and reinstated apartheid with the remaining blacks (primarily zulus) working underneath them.

1. In a time of turmoil it took men of action to take charge. A young gentleman by the name of Rand Omperson from Norway begins to pool resources in order to further the implementation of Section 1. Surrounding himself with others who eye the New World Order uncomfortably this splinter group seeks to circumvent those individuals responsible for delays and overly pacifist tendencies, putting the integrity of the organization at risk in the process.

2. More defensive and less overtly military solutions could be found to appease the less militant members of the EHI. Suggestions for the construction of radar systems to locate any incoming threats from potentially dangerous outside factions were to be constructed to provide early warning in case of emergency.

3. Expansion of its protective and humanitarian services would prove unsurprisingly important within the coming weeks, months and potentially even years. Though outsiders would surely have expected the EHI to already possess an organized structure for the expansion and consolidation of lawless territories no such thing was the case. The formal foundation of the EHI's "Integration Office" would hopefully speed up future attempts to provide more services to people around Europe.

Fluff: With the fall of the Old ways and the collapse of society, chaos overtook much of the world, as the once orderly society of man was reduced once again to the law of the jungle. The cities, ever hives of scum and villany, and neoliberals too cowardly to stop the waves of "disenfranchised youth" that they used to elect themselves, were the worst off, many reduced to smoldering ruins or lawless zones where every manner of barbarism took place. In the rural areas, where the tight bonds of friendship and family still ran strong, and a sense of community was not an abnormal thing, the light of civilization still burned, though somewhat diminished by the fall. Unburdened from supporting the dens of vice that we're the cities, small towns and dormant factories sprung to life, their resources no longer devoted to supporting the lumbering malignant tumors of the crumbling citites. Farms could devote their yields to their neighbors and friends, instead of being forced to export it to places far and wide in order to make a profit. The people united under their common culture and ideals, and banded together to form a new world, a better world. Where a man will be judged by the product of his labors as apposed to the "oppression" he committed/suffered under, where people took care of the land and each other, and those that would seek to grow fat off the labors of others would be removed, and a strong military that would not stand idly by, confined by the restrictions and regulations of the military industrial complex and their lobbyist scum.

A new dawn was rising for the Midwest, a new Reich, where the Volk would make their own future, under the glorious leadership of Fuhrer Schmidt.

1. Continue to invest in 3-D printing. If we're to become a financially excellent nation, we'll need to invest into money making technologies.

2-3. Australia is Vast, with many places hitherto uncolonized. Rivers and lakes of fresh water and large open spaces ripe for more farmland.

We have tentative control over the continent's major territories, but they are simply incredibly stretched out.

With new food, let us develop our territories better rather than outwardly expand. Better to have strong centralized assets than weakly spread out. Encourage more colonization inland following the rivers and streams, set land grab prices low for the settlement of new towns and homes. There's plenty of land, now we just need to fill it with people.
