In the USA, federal debt as a percentage of GDP is 123% Interest and interest like obligations (entitlements/pensions) consume more than 100% of US gross tax receipts. That's before ANY discretionary spending like military or other government spending.

The system really has no slack, and this is largely the case worldwide, even on an individual level. Many people live a "just-in-time" lifestyle without any food reserves or monetary savings? We are now on the precipice of a major recession, or even a great depression. Are we at the end of the line of the current financial/monetary system?

Yes, this is NPC territory. Food comes from the grocery stores, there is no money shortage, the government can print enough to make everyone rich.

The thing that really scares me though, was finding out how dumb the politicians are, after talking to some of them in person. We need a reset.

The human brain is not natively equipped to intuitively grasp exponential functions. We evolved to think in terms of linear, so exponential events tend to sneak up on us.

If the Dems win bigly and go full Allende, expect them to pack the Supreme court with 13 Justices, and ram through their entire agaenda, including revocation of 1A, 2A open borders, full amnesty for all illegals. Expect British style arrests for wrongthink tweets.

There is already an elderly lady spending years in a US jail for silently praying outside an abortion clinic. Early abortion opponents in Canada claimed allowing abortion wiould lead to euthansia. First it was by request, and now it is sliding towards mandatory. Interestingly enough, abortion due to sex selection is illegal in Canada because it was mostly Indians aborting female babies.

A large factor in political change in the USA will be the rollover from the Boomers to GenX. The youngest Boomer is 62. There is still a critical mass of geriatric boomers who act and vote like it's still the 1980s. Perhaps the Hormuz strait blockade induced depression will shake things up.

Feels like it would have to be something different than we've seen before. Like government with immigrants vs Americans or something. Boomers wouldn't fight and not a lot of Gen X would. Younger than that I would expect left vs right to realize, or start to not too far from now, outside of one or two positions we're better off not fighting each other. Definitely have to see more fallout from Iran. Most of my friends are expecting gas prices to go back to "normal" in another week or two.

>Boomers wouldn't fight and not a lot of Gen X would. Younger than that I would expect left vs right to realize

I'm thinking more of secession, USA breaking up. The civil war likely wouldn't happen as any invading army would survive 30 seconds/minutes/days, and we now know regime change cannot be accomplished using air power alone.

Western mountain States would be leaving the union because some Americans will not abide being put under a managerial totalitarian state like they currently have in England.

Proper free men do not abide being gradually manoevered into a position of complete submission and defencelessness, by a system of deliberate two tier justice that allows minority criminals to roam free, literally murdering innocent girls, while whites are prosecuted and jailed using "novel" legal arguments for explicitly constitutionally protected behavior.

At some point, the law becomes merely a pretense, a weapon to be used against the regimes political enemies. At that point, it stops being the law, and the society becomes the exact reason the founders counseled that from time to time, the tree of liberty must be watered by the blood of patriots and tyrants.

UK is the country that imports migrants who raped over a million young girls, ignored the crimes for years, then covered them up when it became too big to ignore, yet are prosecuting/persecuting a graphic artist for drawing images that were perfectly legal until recently where nobody was hurt. Canada has made "textual" CP illegal in addition to "drawn" images, yet is also covering up active grooming gangs composed of new migrants.

>UK-based VTuber and artist Mimi Yanagi was arrested on April 20 for her own drawings of anime-style characters.

>These drawings were 100% fictional, made up by her, with no real people involved.

>UK law still treats these kinds of drawings as illegal child pornography, police took all her computers and devices.

>She has now been released on bail, but she is not allowed to post any “adult” content. She must also use an account name approved by the police.

What people/politicians don't realize is that all this needless bullshit is what contributes to making vehicles unaffordable. Back in the 1970s you could buy an Austin Mini for $1500. You could buy a small Datsun pickup new for $1,875. Used vehicles were cheap and simple to maintain.

There's probably $30-$40k worth of needless bells and whistles on American approved new cars and trucks. Toyota's $10k pickup proves the point. This is a defacto poverty tax that helps to keep Americans poor. Mass immigration is another form of tax designed to impoverish Americans. H1B program is another. So is Amnesty for illegals.

Tucker is 100% correct. The people who hold the levers of power actually hate real Americans.

People need to get much more angry.

About $100 million is planned to be allocated for its development as part of the 2027 budget. It is noted that the new system is at an early stage (concept phase) and is intended to strike deeply fortified underground facilities.

3. Vacation/Luxury homes

4..Motorhomes

The younger generation has been squeezed to the point where most of them have nearly zero disposable income, not enough for family formation, not enough to spend on travel and/or expensive toys.

If there is no one to buy their expensive shit, prices will drop. Trump's coming depression will make it much worse, because many people will lose their jobs because needed inputs from Asia won't arrive. Like during covid when new cars could not be sold because a factory that made an essential computer chip was shut down and stopped production.

>Are you guys seeing big increases in gas prices?

I'm in Alberta, where we produce 4 million barrels of crude oil per day, and it's our major export. We also have capacity to produce 100% of the refined products that we use.

Despite this, gasoline prices went from $1.36 to $2.09 per liter. Diesel is more. Alberta had the lowest gas prices in Canada. Eastern Canada, specifically Quebec, gets oil from the middle east. I suspect the government is subsidizing their prices using the increased profits made from Alberta oil royalties charged by the federal government. This was also done during the late 1970's as well.

>old classic cars are just completely outclassed by modern cars

I agree, the issue is that higher end collectables owned by boomers, like high value baseball cards, old muscle cars, etc, will go the way of high end English bone china. Young people can't afford it, or even have the space to properly store it, so a boomer's $100k muscle car becomes an uwanted $30k boat anchor.

Meanwhile, your $750 kilo of silver turns into $3k+.

At the timestamped link below, Luke gets into silver and how it has a very bright future because the sulfuric acid shortage constrains the base metal mine output, and much of the silver produced is a byproduct of base metal production.

Additionally, the need to replace silver containing munitions along with the newly increased solar panel and EV demand, combined with the net production deficit suggests that silver will be substantially higher in the future.

Something needs to change. Young people, especially white males, are fucked in this economy, unable to acquire enough capital for family formation. Meanwhile, president ALL CAPS gets on his knees for billionaires and the Epstein class.

Same in Canada, only with speedrunning demographic replacement. It's so bad that even the traitor polticians who imported infinity browns are now whining because they are getting replaced in primaries by browns.

In Canada, you don't even need to be a citizen, or even 18 to vote in a primary. (nomination meeting) Browns can mobilize hundreds of bodies who don't even speak english, who then vote in browns as the candidates for ALL the parties in a given district.

Nice to see you ITT. I hope you don't have a lot invested in tech stocks or Tesla. Bagholders will soon be crying thanks to Trump's Iran war. Do you have all the plastic products you'll be needing for the next few months?

>In the entirety of its existence, Tesla has generated approximately $36 billion in cumulative profit. That includes over $20 billion in government emission credits and tax subsidies. The company is valued at $1.7 trillion and its CEO is the richest man on the planet.

>I'm not talking about the stock price. I know the stock has made people money.

>That's the popularity contest.

>I'm talking about whether this company creates enough economic value to JUSTIFY the capital invested in it. And it doesn't.

>The returns on invested capital have been chronically below what any serious investor would demand. That's not wealth creation.

>So the product here isn't the car. The product is the STOCK PRICE.

>Elon Musk is selling hopium and an entire generation of investors is buying it without even knowing what a PE ratio is.

>But Tesla is just the opening act…

>SpaceX just filed for a $1.75 TRILLION IPO. $15 billion in revenue but no profit in sight.

>The private valuation was walked up from $200 billion to $400 billion to $800 billion to $1.75 trillion in two years. And Reuters has confirmed that SpaceX made early inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 a necessary condition for listing on the exchange. Nasdaq obliged by adopting a "Fast Entry" rule in March that lets mega-cap IPOs join the index after just 15 trading days, completely exempt from the normal seasoning and liquidity requirements every other company had to meet.

>And this matters because over $600 billion in passive funds track the Nasdaq-100. Unlike the S&P 500, which still requires months of seasoning and stricter float thresholds, the Nasdaq-100 is now a 15-day on-ramp for trillion-dollar IPOs.

>Every ETF and mutual fund benchmarked to that index will be FORCED to buy SpaceX within weeks of it going public regardless of whether the valuation makes any sense.

>Your 401(k) is literally the exit liquidity. You don't even get a choice.

>The structure of the market makes you a participant whether you want to be or not.

>That's what makes this different from every other bubble in history…

>You can't opt out.

That medal? It weighs 40g and has .925 purity, so contains 37g of silver. There's a bigger picture here of a similar medal, where it's easier to see the marks:

https://en.numista.com/199103

They used that design between 1985-93:

> Face of Europe personified under the features of Ceres, with long hair girded by a crown of flowers.

And I only have a few of those years. Then in 1994 they switched to a different design:

https://en.numista.com/66452

> Head of Europa right.

This one I've never even seen for sale anywhere!

And in 1995-1998 they stopped using Europa allegory and just have a map instead. I have all those, as well as the 1999-2000 but those are smaller (only 25g) and they have planets or zodiac symbols instead of the map.

The series actually started in 1979 with the designs in pic. I have the ones from 1979-82, but I think the next two years are the same seated Europa design.

Then they made more medals in 2001 and later, but I'm not sure they really count as part of this series. Well I have this one anyway (because price was very low):

https://en.numista.com/343054

For some reason they went back to 40g weight! But it's not made by Monnaie de Paris anymore, they have the 925 sword mark instead. In fact that was the case for the late 90's medals also.

Some of the medals were also made in .950 silver (very rare though), and there were some gold and platinum ones too!

Goldbacks are a shitty way to stack gold, but a great way to own spendable gold.

We have some Goldbacks because we collect them. They are pretty and very cool to look at.

It's very common that people who have expertise in one area become idiots when they talk about something they aren't qualified to opine about.

Example: John Mearsheimer is a geopolitical expert, but he's also an open borders, refugee welcome boomer. He is completely ignorant of FBI crime statistics.

I still listen to Mearsheimer on topics that he is qualified to speak on.

Ironically the artible right below it shows the real problem:

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/ubs-ceo-warns-swiss-population-cap-extreme-measure

There just wasn't a lot of immigration before the mass propaganda tools became available, and before schooling became mandatory. People didn't care about africans, they weren't even considered as equals. Racism was the common trait, and not something to be ashamed of. I still remember all the brainwashing they inflicted upon us in the 70's and 80's with their "Touche pas a mon pote" slogans everywhere. When they have to put that much effort to turn people against their own natural instincts, even a kid could see through it. They also made me watch creepy Holocaust videos at school. Then there's the censorship that makes it illegal to even discuss, and only the official party line is allowed, with heavy penalties for those who go up against it. That's not a democracy by any stretch.

I just had my own md5 "spam or illegal content collision". 8ch must have a large list of banned hashes if we are getting so many collisions. It's the reason why md5 isn't used for critical work anymore. Since 8ch doesn't have most of the original "illegal" content from which to regenerate new SHA-256 hashes, so they are stuck using the collision prone md5 hashes.

I just took a screenshot of the original image. Opening up the original in an editor and changing one pixel would have also worked.

Exactly. And the same types of (((people))) who funded Churchill, also funded Trump. Coincidentally, Iran does not have a Rothschild controlled central bank. Neither did Nazi Germany.

I don't believe full blown modern world wars are possible without debt based central banks and a fiat currency. That's the reason why we don't have flying cars and orbiting space hotel vacations, along with bases on the moon. We are too busy fighting nonsense wars and importing third world murdery types that need to be constantly babysat and supported by endless taxpayer dollars.

Trump nearly lost everything during one of his bad business deals and was saved from bankruptcy by wealthy jewish financiers. That jewish investment appears to have paid off very well, as it did with Churchill. Churchill was rumored to be a homosexual. I wonder what dirt they have on Trump?

https://x.com/Sorenthek/status/2063697576013013221

If the SecTreasury is publicly stating they will not devalue the dollar, he's lying to preserve confidence in the $USD until they can pull of the devaluation. The devaluation will most likely take the form of a period of controlled high inflation, while artificially holding Treasury interest rates well below the actual rate of inflation.

Devaluation only works if you can rugpull unsuspecting bag holders. If the bagholders knew in advance, they would sell their dollars for gold, silver or other tangible goods that hold their value, which would defeat the purpose of the devaluation, as everyone would be trying to get rid of dollars, and nobody would want to TAKE dollars, which would front run the devaluation process by creating a run on the currency.

This is why they HAVE to lie. Insiders of course are warned beforehand, and can take precautions to protect themselves, just like the jews who were warned not to go to the WTC on 9/11.

Many east European countries lived through a currency devaluation after the USSR fell. One story I heard was about a Hungarian doctor who had enough savings to afford to buy 5 new cars. After the surprise devaluation, his life savings could buy 1 months worth of groceries.

We are in the same boat. The last bars we've bought were 10oz. Picrel is the brand (random) that we were sold last time. It was over $1000 leafbucks. We used to be able to get 3 x 10oz bars for that price.

I believe one of the reasons why the markets are so weird right now is because there are vested interests with unlimited resources (US gov & Federal Reserve) that are intensely focussed on keeping the stock market bubble from popping plus keeping the treasury yields under control, and they are willing to sacrifice the $USD to protect them.

The oil market is now as manipulated as the price of silver on COMEX, and just like silver, one cannot print oil when the available float drops below a certain amount. When that happens the price goes vertical until sufficient demand is destroyed.

I think demand destruction for silver (ie solar panels) is in the $200-$300/oz price. For oil it's at $150-$200/barrel price.

I am by no means skilled when it comes to command line wizardry. I can crank out functional shell scripts if my life depends on it through brute force and internet references. Regular expressions are my Achilles heel.

On 4chan someone posted a curl command like that used grep and perl regular expressions to come up with a nice silver price grabber from Kitco.

curl -fsSL https://www.kitco.com/charts/silver | grep -oP 'Bid</div>K.*?<h3[^>]*>K[0-9]+(?:.[0-9]+)?'

Unfortunately, Kitco has changed their silver price page so the above command doesn't work anymore. This one currently does, although not as elegantly as the one above. There also seems to be slight differences in the price grabbed by curl via https and the javascript live price update on the webpage, but the difference tends to be a few cents, so well worth the time savings for grabbing a quick price quote rather than waiting up to 30 seconds for the page to load on my machine.

curl -fsSL https://www.kitco.com/charts/silver | grep –color=always -o -P '.{0,1}bid.{0,7}' | tail -n 1

Any technical improvements would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, woke is a direct consequence of (median) female epistemology. While there have been, and still are some brilliant female minds, the average western female evolved to look after the needs of her children and perhaps extended family.

Psychological reprogramming by (((some groups))) has trained western females, especially boomer females, that every hungry african baby can be saved if our "government" gave them a little food (or money).

>Women in Switzerland gained the right to vote in federal elections after a referendum in February 1971

Immediately after women got the vote in Switzerland, the federal spending increased by 28%. Something similar happened when women got the vote in the USA.

I don't believe things will begin to get better until it gets so bad that we basically have a civilizational collapse and there is a mass die off.

Molly Tibbet's boomer father loves illegal aliens and migrants because of all that tasty ethnic food. The boomers as a generation will also mostly need to die off before things will improve.

Israel won't give up until Iran has been turned into Libya or Syria. Iran was very stupid to allow China to force Iran into accepting an America cease fire in April. (the other side ceases, while Israel fires)

Very worst case is Israel will bide their time will using soft power to sanction and economically strangle Iran while preparing for another sneak attack.

Iran needs a nuclear deterrance with the ability to completely obliterate Israel should they pull any more jew tricks.

Silver price? I have a million things to worry about. The future price of silver is not one of them.

DMSO does work, it fixed my eyes and increased my flexibility, but one of the metabolites, dimethyl sulfide (DMS), is detectable by human beings in parts per billion, and smells worse than garlic breath. For severe neurological injury such as concussion, spinal injury or stroke, the smell is a small price to pay for treating something that would otherwise be a permanent, debilitating injury.

>Jackson's spinal recovery stunned news stations & millions online. Doctors said he'd never walk, breathe, or move again.

>His mom's secret? DMSO—a simple compound vets use on spine injuries the FDA won't approve

>But that's not the only "incurable" neurological disorder it helps.

>Approximately 2000 studies support DMSO's use for conditions ranging from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's to strokes, MS, ALS, chronic pain, neuropathy, depression, epilepsy, and Down syndrome, and a physician who began treating his patients with it estimates roughly 80% of what people see neurologists for goes away with DMSO.🧵

https://x.com/MidwesternDoc/status/2068346988144288177

DMSO also successfully treats otherwise "incurable" COPD.

>This is a recent update from the man with terminal COPD who was able to cure it with nebulized DMSO.

>He is mostly recovered now, his doctor admits he's improved, and many others have also reported similar results for asthma, severe COPD, and other "incurable" lung disease.

https://x.com/MidwesternDoc/status/2061135857256706458

DMSO vs ALS

>ALS survivor Todd demonstrates how he walks and moves without DMSO in his system, 5 hours after an IV treatment of DMSO and 5 days after IV and topical aaplication. It is a DRAMATIC Difference!

I can personally confirm that metallic silver appears to be unreactive towards DMSO at room temperature, based on my personal testing.

God wouldn't have burdened you if you didn't have the strength to carry the load. I doubt that I would be up to for that.

>I have 54 L of bottled water in the cellar, but the expiration date is 3 years ago

The expiration date is in most cases (except for things like fresh meat/fish/fruit/produce and dairy) a legal fiction. If the water is clear and tastes/smells fine, it's good. Direct sunlight will destroy most plastic packaging/containers however.

We maintain a rotating stock of between 2-3 months worth of reverse osmosis filtered drinking water treated with a few ppm of colloidal silver. The water still tastes very good after 3 months in an 18 liter polycarbonate carboy. I would prefer glass if we could get a dozen or clean ones for a good price, but it's probably too late for us regarding microplastics anyway.

Mormons informed us that most regular canned wet food such as stew, soup, beans and fruit has a 12-18 month recommended use by shelf life. We've inadvertently gone a little longer on canned meat (spam) without problems aside from the odd dark spot on a can seam line which we cut off and discarded. We won't eat anything that looks or smells odd, and the meat (pork) gets well cooked before we consume.

Dry food such as pasta and grains can have a multi decade shelf life if packaged and stored properly. (airtight, oxygen free, impermiable container in a cool dark location like a basement or root cellar)

Asian instant noodles (ramen) tend to go rancid after more than one year. (from personal experience)

We keep a minimum of one year of canned food that we (try to) rotate.

Water is probably one of the most important things to stockpile for emergency use because city water can be cut off or contaminated anytime without warning, and while most people can go a few days without food, water is life, especially when the weather is hot. We have a gallon of veterinary strength iodine that we can use to disinfect untreated water.

In some parts of the USA, it's not safe to drink stagnant ground water long term even with disinfection because fertilizer runoff essentially makes the water a cumulative toxin for humans if they drink it for too long. Distillation removes the toxic dissolved solids. Reverse osmosis would likely also work.

Aside from the couple of months of RO/CS drinking water, we have another 50 liters of iodine treated tapwater stored in polyethylene cubes for personal hygiene use, or backup drinking water in extremis. We also have a little bucket toilet with bags we can use for emergency defecation should the toilets stop flushing.

We go through 54 liters of drinking water (not including coffee or tea or cooking) in about 3 weeks.

>Around 600 BC, a king in western Anatolia did something the world had never seen. King Croesus of Lydia struck the first standardized coins from electrum, then refined the process into pure gold and silver pieces of fixed weight. You've heard the phrase "rich as Croesus." This is where it comes from. The genius lay in the standard, not merely in the wealth.

>Picture the marketplace at Sardis before the mint. You want to buy grain. The seller wants payment in metal. So you both haggle over weight and purity, dragging out scales, arguing whether the lump in your hand is real gold or some debased alloy a previous trader passed off on you. Every transaction carried a verification cost. Every exchange was a small act of distrust.

>Croesus solved this by stamping a lion's head into metal of guaranteed weight and fineness. The stamp wasn't merely decoration, but a claim: this piece contains exactly what we say it contains. Suddenly you didn't reweigh and re-assay every coin. You counted. The cost of transacting collapsed, and trade across the Aegean exploded. The market chose gold and silver long before any king touched them, because those metals were scarce, durable, divisible, and impossible to conjure from nothing. Croesus didn't invent money, he merely certified it.

>The earliest function of the state in money was honest: verify the weight, guarantee the purity, then step back. The coin's value came from the metal, not the lion's head. The stamp was a service, not a license to print. Now compare that to what every later sovereign discovered. Nero clipped the silver denarius down to 90 percent by 64 AD. By the third century, the "silver" coin was a copper slug with a wash. The stamp stayed the same while the substance vanished, which is the entire history of monetary debasement in one sentence.

>When a central banker tells you fiat is sophisticated and modern, remember that a Lydian king in the seventh century BC grasped what they've abandoned: the metal was the money, and the stamp was just a promise to tell the truth about it.

Zerohedge C.V. movie review:

>t is clear to the majority of western citizens that after a decade of migrant programs, there simply is no compatibility between European/American culture and third world cultures. These cultures reside in regions of the world where authoritarianism and barbarism are ingrained in the public psyche; they have no conception of western ideals of individual freedom, meritocracy, high trust or "tolerance."

>They only view western empathy as a weakness that should be exploited. Meaning, westerners and third worlders will never be able to coexist. It's simply not possible without one side dominating the other.

>Germany, 1948. The Reichsmark is worthless. Cigarettes function as currency. Factory output sits at half its 1936 level, and the Allied occupation runs a price-control regime so absurd that farmers feed grain to livestock rather than sell it at the dictated price. Then Ludwig Erhard walks into a radio studio on June 20 and tells the German people the controls are gone. He did not ask the occupation authorities first. He told General Lucius Clay afterward that he hadn't altered the regulations, he had abolished them.

>What followed embarrassed every Keynesian planner watching from Washington and London.

>The Deutsche Mark replaced the Reichsmark at brutal terms: roughly 100 old marks for 6.5 new ones. Hard money, scarce by design. The black markets emptied overnight because goods reappeared in shop windows the moment prices could speak. Industrial production jumped over 50 percent in the second half of 1948 alone. And here is the part the textbooks bury: through the 1950s, as the economy grew at better than 8 percent a year, the cost of living stayed remarkably flat. Germans got richer while prices held or fell. Productivity outran the money supply, which is exactly what's supposed to happen when a central bank keeps its greedy paws to itself.

>Falling prices alongside roaring growth, rising real wages, and a currency people actually wanted to hold rewarded Erhard's Germany. Deflation is not the disease. It is the natural reward for producing more than you did last year.

>The Bundesbank inherited this discipline and guarded the Mark with a stinginess that drove politicians to fury for forty years. That stinginess built the strongest economy in Europe. Then the same political class buried the Mark under the euro in 2002 and handed monetary policy to people who consider 2 percent annual theft a "target."

>Erhard proved sound money and free prices rebuild a bombed nation in a decade. Every finance minister since has worked very hard to forget it.

The guest is an old silent gen who rightly points out that the system changed for the worse in the 1970s (he says 75) but doesn't mention the dollar going off the gold standard. He also advocates for higher graduated taxes for rich people and wealth distribution like the US did rom 1935-1975.

He completely ignores the mass third world immigration that has happened post 1975, where any wealth redistributed to the poorest demographic groups gets sent OUTSIDE the USA and is used to facilitate increased 3rd world migration.

Any "fix" that does not account for changing demographics is doomed to failure. Replacing Americans and Europeans with Indians and Africans will effectively plunge us into a new dark ages.

>I like Lepard but he let himself get duped with this shit,

Yeah, Lepard has some good opinions that I share about hard money, but i think he got the BTC fever. I remember listening/following him before he went all in on BTC. I wonder if he got a sponsorship deal from FTX or someone else.

I've met some people IRL who suffer from the BTC mania and it's not unlike talking to a gambling addict. There is some kind of disconnect in their reasoning process that links their dreams of success to the purchase of bitcoin.

Gold/silverbugs tend to be fairly moderate in that they view the gold and silver value to vary inversly with the declining purchasing power of fiat. The BTC addicts that I've personally met sincerely believed it would inevitably go exponential to over a million per coin, without the dollar devaluing due to hyperinflation.

That thesis discounts the technical issues/downsides of bitcoin (transaction rate limits, quantum cryptography, government control of entry/exit nodes, 51% attack etc)

All I know is that a kilo of silver will have a value that varies (goes both up and down) within a couple of orders of magnitude vs other commodities depending on the state of fiat/economy.

We bought silver when it was relatively cheap relative to fiat. We will sell it/trade it for gold/land when the ratio shrinks.

I don't expect an ounce of silver to meaningfully go up to a million dollars because if/when it does, it's only because the purchasing power of a single dollar will be almost zero.

Turkey is selling US Treasuries to buy fuel. They are not the only one doing so. That's the real reason why the US was willing to essentially surrender to Iran in order to open the Strait of Hormuz. High fuel prices were triggering a run on USTs, which causes their value to drop, forcing long bond rates higher. Higher interest rates on US debt pushes the USA into a debt spiral where the interest on the debt consumes all lf the government tax revenues. That is the definition of insolvency.

Because for their entire lives, the key to boomer success was to go with the flow, ride the tide, don't rock the boat, stay on the gravy train.

In other words, their entire life experience conditioned them to be passive spectators where everything should be expected to go their way, because for their entire life experience to date, it did, so long as they did what they were told. Today, boomers are being set up as the future bag holders, the exit liquidity for the top 1% who will scurry off to their private islands with their private militias, servants and their harems of concubines while they watch the rest of the world burn.

Boomers are completely unprepared for what is coming. This is compounded by their age and in most cases their poor health that renders most of them at the mercy of outside forces. Their only choices are to do what they are told, or to die. Their property values will be devalued by inflation, their pensions will be looted by the Private Capital scams the pension managers have been bribed into subscribing to, and the promises of free medical care will be defaulted on, leaving them with assisted suicide as their only relief.

Was this place off-line for a while? I’ve been dying to have a discussion. That’s not derailed by some spammer about Precious metals for a really long time . I’m a phone poster so I can’t really see what I’m writing, but I wanted to say that most of the movement with gold appears to be due to the war, raising inflation in United States, and thus changing the trajectory of the federal funds rate. In addition, it seems that the United States was in a better position relative to other countries in terms of energy self-sufficiency so there was a run to the dollar because of that supposedly. I’ve also heard that countries were buying up oil in dollars.

Man, what a pleasure is to have this place back between Fort Chan with the spammer and with Reddit where anytime someone asks a question someone says some quirky Chungus thing and it’s the top comment. Like for example someone asks why is gold down for today and then someone will say because line go down XD 🤣

I really don't understand the race we're supposed to be in if we already have nearly 10x the data centers as China. If our chips are better, and we have that many more, is there actually a race going on? We had a meeting last week for our internal ai product and all the leads on it make it sound like shit - doesn't remove need for developer, token cost, blah blah.

>I really don't understand the race we're supposed to be in if we already have nearly 10x the data centers as China.

China has much cheaper, more plentiful energy (mostly from coal) and benefits from the lessons learned from the mistakes in the first gen chips leaping ahead via rampant IP theft both from the hardware makers and the AI models themselves.

China is actually building underwater datacenters to use passive cooling, something that would take America 10 years of environmental studies and approvals to implement.

China is also ramping up bulk low cost memory chip production.

Chinese models also benefit greatly from increased performance because they don't waste 70% of their performance on guardrails designed to keep their AI from noticing how bad jews, blacks and indians behave.

I predict China will win the AI race because their goal is AI. American AI goals, in my opinion, primarily involve preserving jewish hegemony at all costs.

I cannot see a future where the USA does not resort to printing in order to buy just a little more time for the pigs (politicians) to feed at the trough.

The big question is will they resort to war to distract from catastrophic political corruption and monetary collapse? Where will decent people build nice little communities to ride out the storm? Wyoming? Utah? Idaho? Colorado? Alberta?
