Most markets have still not priced in the effects of a resource crisis induced depression. They certainly haven't priced in the effects of a global famine 6 months from now.
>“We are going to run out of fuel in the global economy”
>“The markets are in cloud cuckoo land”
>“We are moving beyond initial inflationary affects to the second stage where there is no gas to price”
>“Within a few months we will be in an economy which has to adjust downwards to eliminate demand for fuel that’s not there”

In the USA, federal debt as a percentage of GDP is 123% Interest and interest like obligations (entitlements/pensions) consume more than 100% of US gross tax receipts. That's before ANY discretionary spending like military or other government spending.
The system really has no slack, and this is largely the case worldwide, even on an individual level. Many people live a "just-in-time" lifestyle without any food reserves or monetary savings? We are now on the precipice of a major recession, or even a great depression. Are we at the end of the line of the current financial/monetary system?

Iranians re-invent money for individual and community survival.
>Scott Bessent posted that Iranians are now bartering in cooking oil — and framed it as evidence of regime collapse.
>What he described instead is a 5,000-year-old civilizational reflex.
>#Persia invented "bazaar #economics". Iran has operated parallel informal trade networks since the #SilkRoad days through every sanction regime since 1979 — through the Iran-Iraq war, through 2012 SWIFT exclusion, through 2018 maximum pressure, through a 12-day air war in June 2025, and now through #OperationEpicFury.

This will hit even harder in the asian countries as rice needs a lot of fertilizer, and many of the farmers can't afford the diesel either. Trump will end up killing a lot more Indians than John Wayne ever did.

Yes, this is NPC territory. Food comes from the grocery stores, there is no money shortage, the government can print enough to make everyone rich.
The thing that really scares me though, was finding out how dumb the politicians are, after talking to some of them in person. We need a reset.

The human brain is not natively equipped to intuitively grasp exponential functions. We evolved to think in terms of linear, so exponential events tend to sneak up on us.

If the Dems win bigly and go full Allende, expect them to pack the Supreme court with 13 Justices, and ram through their entire agaenda, including revocation of 1A, 2A open borders, full amnesty for all illegals. Expect British style arrests for wrongthink tweets.
There is already an elderly lady spending years in a US jail for silently praying outside an abortion clinic. Early abortion opponents in Canada claimed allowing abortion wiould lead to euthansia. First it was by request, and now it is sliding towards mandatory. Interestingly enough, abortion due to sex selection is illegal in Canada because it was mostly Indians aborting female babies.
A large factor in political change in the USA will be the rollover from the Boomers to GenX. The youngest Boomer is 62. There is still a critical mass of geriatric boomers who act and vote like it's still the 1980s. Perhaps the Hormuz strait blockade induced depression will shake things up.

Feels like it would have to be something different than we've seen before. Like government with immigrants vs Americans or something. Boomers wouldn't fight and not a lot of Gen X would. Younger than that I would expect left vs right to realize, or start to not too far from now, outside of one or two positions we're better off not fighting each other. Definitely have to see more fallout from Iran. Most of my friends are expecting gas prices to go back to "normal" in another week or two.

I'm thinking more of secession, USA breaking up. The civil war likely wouldn't happen as any invading army would survive 30 seconds/minutes/days, and we now know regime change cannot be accomplished using air power alone.
Western mountain States would be leaving the union because some Americans will not abide being put under a managerial totalitarian state like they currently have in England.
Proper free men do not abide being gradually manoevered into a position of complete submission and defencelessness, by a system of deliberate two tier justice that allows minority criminals to roam free, literally murdering innocent girls, while whites are prosecuted and jailed using "novel" legal arguments for explicitly constitutionally protected behavior.
At some point, the law becomes merely a pretense, a weapon to be used against the regimes political enemies. At that point, it stops being the law, and the society becomes the exact reason the founders counseled that from time to time, the tree of liberty must be watered by the blood of patriots and tyrants.

UK is the country that imports migrants who raped over a million young girls, ignored the crimes for years, then covered them up when it became too big to ignore, yet are prosecuting/persecuting a graphic artist for drawing images that were perfectly legal until recently where nobody was hurt. Canada has made "textual" CP illegal in addition to "drawn" images, yet is also covering up active grooming gangs composed of new migrants.
>UK-based VTuber and artist Mimi Yanagi was arrested on April 20 for her own drawings of anime-style characters.
>These drawings were 100% fictional, made up by her, with no real people involved.
>UK law still treats these kinds of drawings as illegal child pornography, police took all her computers and devices.
>She has now been released on bail, but she is not allowed to post any “adult” content. She must also use an account name approved by the police.

What people/politicians don't realize is that all this needless bullshit is what contributes to making vehicles unaffordable. Back in the 1970s you could buy an Austin Mini for $1500. You could buy a small Datsun pickup new for $1,875. Used vehicles were cheap and simple to maintain.
There's probably $30-$40k worth of needless bells and whistles on American approved new cars and trucks. Toyota's $10k pickup proves the point. This is a defacto poverty tax that helps to keep Americans poor. Mass immigration is another form of tax designed to impoverish Americans. H1B program is another. So is Amnesty for illegals.
Tucker is 100% correct. The people who hold the levers of power actually hate real Americans.
People need to get much more angry.

Guess who these are intended to be used on? Iran needs to build their own nuclear deterrant ASAP.
>The United States is working on a new nuclear “bunker-buster” bomb — The War Zone. The project in question is the Nuclear Deterrent System-Air-delivered (NDS-A), a potential successor to the existing B61-11 nuclear bomb. About $100 million is planned to be allocated for its development as part of the 2027 budget. It is noted that the new system is at an early stage (concept phase) and is intended to strike deeply fortified underground facilities.

A lot of boomer assets are rapidly depreciating:
1. Harley Davidson motorcycles
2. Collector cars
3. Vacation/Luxury homes
4..Motorhomes
The younger generation has been squeezed to the point where most of them have nearly zero disposable income, not enough for family formation, not enough to spend on travel and/or expensive toys.
If there is no one to buy their expensive shit, prices will drop. Trump's coming depression will make it much worse, because many people will lose their jobs because needed inputs from Asia won't arrive. Like during covid when new cars could not be sold because a factory that made an essential computer chip was shut down and stopped production.

>Are you guys seeing big increases in gas prices?
I'm in Alberta, where we produce 4 million barrels of crude oil per day, and it's our major export. We also have capacity to produce 100% of the refined products that we use.
Despite this, gasoline prices went from $1.36 to $2.09 per liter. Diesel is more. Alberta had the lowest gas prices in Canada. Eastern Canada, specifically Quebec, gets oil from the middle east. I suspect the government is subsidizing their prices using the increased profits made from Alberta oil royalties charged by the federal government. This was also done during the late 1970's as well.
>old classic cars are just completely outclassed by modern cars
I agree, the issue is that higher end collectables owned by boomers, like high value baseball cards, old muscle cars, etc, will go the way of high end English bone china. Young people can't afford it, or even have the space to properly store it, so a boomer's $100k muscle car becomes an uwanted $30k boat anchor.
Meanwhile, your $750 kilo of silver turns into $3k+.

At the timestamped link below, Luke gets into silver and how it has a very bright future because the sulfuric acid shortage constrains the base metal mine output, and much of the silver produced is a byproduct of base metal production.
Additionally, the need to replace silver containing munitions along with the newly increased solar panel and EV demand, combined with the net production deficit suggests that silver will be substantially higher in the future.

The war on Iran? There is the 80% of US politicians who are effectively controlled by a small middle eastern nation. It's almost as if American's aren't driving their own bus anymore.
Something needs to change. Young people, especially white males, are fucked in this economy, unable to acquire enough capital for family formation. Meanwhile, president ALL CAPS gets on his knees for billionaires and the Epstein class.
Same in Canada, only with speedrunning demographic replacement. It's so bad that even the traitor polticians who imported infinity browns are now whining because they are getting replaced in primaries by browns.
In Canada, you don't even need to be a citizen, or even 18 to vote in a primary. (nomination meeting) Browns can mobilize hundreds of bodies who don't even speak english, who then vote in browns as the candidates for ALL the parties in a given district.

>Pierre Lassonde, Co - Founder of Franco - Nevada, says gold is going to $17,250 because the structure of the global financial system is breaking and it looks just like 1970. Inflation is climbing, energy and food prices are rising after the Iran war, and US debt is now at $40 trillion.

Nice to see you ITT. I hope you don't have a lot invested in tech stocks or Tesla. Bagholders will soon be crying thanks to Trump's Iran war. Do you have all the plastic products you'll be needing for the next few months?
>In the entirety of its existence, Tesla has generated approximately $36 billion in cumulative profit. That includes over $20 billion in government emission credits and tax subsidies. The company is valued at $1.7 trillion and its CEO is the richest man on the planet.
>I'm not talking about the stock price. I know the stock has made people money.
>That's the popularity contest.
>I'm talking about whether this company creates enough economic value to JUSTIFY the capital invested in it. And it doesn't.
>The returns on invested capital have been chronically below what any serious investor would demand. That's not wealth creation.
>So the product here isn't the car. The product is the STOCK PRICE.
>Elon Musk is selling hopium and an entire generation of investors is buying it without even knowing what a PE ratio is.
>But Tesla is just the opening act…
>SpaceX just filed for a $1.75 TRILLION IPO. $15 billion in revenue but no profit in sight.
>The private valuation was walked up from $200 billion to $400 billion to $800 billion to $1.75 trillion in two years. And Reuters has confirmed that SpaceX made early inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 a necessary condition for listing on the exchange. Nasdaq obliged by adopting a "Fast Entry" rule in March that lets mega-cap IPOs join the index after just 15 trading days, completely exempt from the normal seasoning and liquidity requirements every other company had to meet.
>And this matters because over $600 billion in passive funds track the Nasdaq-100. Unlike the S&P 500, which still requires months of seasoning and stricter float thresholds, the Nasdaq-100 is now a 15-day on-ramp for trillion-dollar IPOs.
>Every ETF and mutual fund benchmarked to that index will be FORCED to buy SpaceX within weeks of it going public regardless of whether the valuation makes any sense.
>Your 401(k) is literally the exit liquidity. You don't even get a choice.
>The structure of the market makes you a participant whether you want to be or not.
>That's what makes this different from every other bubble in history…
>You can't opt out.

The first computer game I ever played was Colossal Cave Adventure.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossal_Cave_Adventure
We don't have any tech or meme stocks. Just some miners and some energy companies. We bought a hundred cans of food (and 20 kilos of cat food) when the war broke out. We'll be getting more soon.
We are also stocking up on all the plastic products that we normally use. I think people under estimate just how bad Trump's war will effect medical supplies, as nearly everything used in hospitals is plastic and disposable. Breaking supply chains due to petrochemical shortages will have worldwide consequences.

That medal? It weighs 40g and has .925 purity, so contains 37g of silver. There's a bigger picture here of a similar medal, where it's easier to see the marks:
https://en.numista.com/199103
They used that design between 1985-93:
> Face of Europe personified under the features of Ceres, with long hair girded by a crown of flowers.
And I only have a few of those years. Then in 1994 they switched to a different design:
https://en.numista.com/66452
> Head of Europa right.
This one I've never even seen for sale anywhere!
And in 1995-1998 they stopped using Europa allegory and just have a map instead. I have all those, as well as the 1999-2000 but those are smaller (only 25g) and they have planets or zodiac symbols instead of the map.
The series actually started in 1979 with the designs in pic. I have the ones from 1979-82, but I think the next two years are the same seated Europa design.
Then they made more medals in 2001 and later, but I'm not sure they really count as part of this series. Well I have this one anyway (because price was very low):
https://en.numista.com/343054
For some reason they went back to 40g weight! But it's not made by Monnaie de Paris anymore, they have the 925 sword mark instead. In fact that was the case for the late 90's medals also.
Some of the medals were also made in .950 silver (very rare though), and there were some gold and platinum ones too!

We used to have nice things, but now things are often just getting uglier.
I wonder who could be behind this?

The Greeks rightfully still have strong ties to their history and culture.
As Tucker pointed out, the elites who are in control of the levers of power actually hate us, hate our culture and hate our history.
I don't believe we can vote our way out of this.
