Why did he have such a superiority complex?

Not really a complex if it's true, is it?

But it wasn't true. Bane was a bigger guy than him, and for you.

And yet he still survived the crash. Seems Bane wasn't so big after all.

Is this just for comedic effect, or is this an actual fan theory? If so I'd like to see the evidence.

You know that guy in the fursuit from the post-credit scenes? He's actually in a few sequels in the last few years. CIA has so far appeared in two of them. In "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" CIA appears at the beginning of the movie again. He is played by a different actor (so is the furry guy) but is clearly identified as CIA (about 1:20 in clip related). Then in "Justice League," CIA, referred to only as his name from the novel, "Mr Wilson," appears in the post-credit scenes, hinting at his having a starring role again in a sequel.

Typical government type. Couldn't get into any good corporate job so he had to settle for the government job. Suddenly he thinks he's the shit because he works for America but the truth is that he is just an incompetent stooge that fails when it counts. Plane scene is a good example of that.
Meanwhile Bane - an entrepreneur and self made man - stays humble but focused. The goal is what matters not the ego.

Regarding the circumstances, that was a feat of strength and brutal tactical genius on his half.

Nigger, that's called EARNING a job. Nepotism is if you get the job just for running into someone at a bar mitzvah.
