There's a stove, I just don't want to habitually use it, largely due to the cost.
Tonight's din-dins: mashed-up cheap meat pie and instant noodles. "Camping food."

>had my last phone call from a gp who was referred from Centrelink yesterday, apparently it's the last step they put you through before you get the DSP, was told it would just be another two weeks
even more waiting fucking great
If I could I would 100% look for another job. Getting paid weekly is awesome, just having money.
It's the only getting paid each fortnight bullshit and having to stretch it to last that long that's killing me, my savings are dwindling at a massive rate. I lost weight through fasting last year and I'm now going to a gym lifting, I've got to eat a lot to keep it up, but now that I'm a NEET it's all gone out of wack, I can see myself going back to eating cheap trash food and putting all that weight on again. No chick would look at me when I was obese, even now I don't really get any female attention.

Yesterday was birthday.
I baked myself a cheesecake. No-one else would …but it was gud. I used http://allrecipes.com.au/recipe/12824/easy-lemon-cheesecake.aspx but didn't have any lemon, but really didn't impact on the gudness; the texture and the rest was has it should be… The passionfruit syrup had some agar agar jelly added to keep it sliding off.
Crap NEETLife happenings that's happened since last time: I've mentioned signing up for the 'Driver License Training Access Programming'.. and it's been nearly 4 months of the outsourced guy in charge sitting on his hands. During the latest keep-in-contact call to find out what's going on, he's revealed he's a Boong, and he's sitting on his hands until the Government gives him enough money to hire all of his Aunties, -and- he wants to use Commercial driving instructors, not the Volunteer groups like Rotary the programme was designed for. Of course, he blames the Government for nothing proceeding. I'm now emailing the volunteer training groups directly, but haven't got a reply yet. (Old People can't until email..)

> I've mentioned signing up for the 'Driver License Training Access Programme.. [..] he wants to use Commercial driving instructors, not the Volunteer groups like Rotary the programme was designed for.
Confirmed: I've been thrown at a Commercial Driving School, whose first priority is Wealthy Highschool Kids, and it's an absolute scam of one lesson a fortnight because richkids take priority.
I'm figuring they're charging the DLTA guy $150/hour for a $65/hr normal rate, and the DLTA wants his $150/hour, so it's costing the Government $300 for every hour of my having starting scratch every time because it's too fucking long between lessons and I don't get any other practice.
Hmm, it's a $2200 fine and 12 months L-licence suspension if I get caught practicing by myself, with additional penalties for stealing the car…
NEET in a Bucket.

NSW is rolling out the Gladys Golds/Dine and Discover vouchers; $100 bux to get you into more expensive dining/entertaining establishments.
What a fucking hand-out to rich cunts, both the users of the vouchers, and the over-priced restaurants wanting more money.
Of course, it's tied to the Lizard People's COVIDSafe App, that's the only way to use the vouchers.
This NEET can't afford a Smartphone or the reoccurring-cost mobile broadband. Not that I go out, either. It's the Liberals buying votes from Aspirationals again.

Fuck Aldi and their mandatory check-ins where it's not required.
Got fucked-over with that while trying to buy a $5 2kg bag of chicklegs today.
They were $3 dearer at Coles, but let's consider that a donation for not shitting on Battlers who don't Into Smartphones or Email.
Not minding having to wear a mask though. I bought a decent one during the first post-lockdown glut (a "$20" washable fabric one, that was going for $4.99..) The great thing about masks I've found is not having to worry about having to shave before going out.

Another blog about mandatory but-not-mandatory situation yesterday..
Had to buy a new motorbike tire, and tried a local shop first.
Demands for COVID-Safe check in at the door. Ask for the sign-in, and get chewed-out with the erroneous "it's illegal to sign in with anything but a smartphone" crap by a drone. Then get continuously ear-bashed about Sydney riders coming up to buy from them, etc., while I'm filling in the log, as I only have a feature-phone Nokia with no mobile broadband (..because, like, I'm a fucking unemployed NEET who doesn't blow ~$800/year to pretend they're a imbecile Normie pretending they're Surfing The Future with their Cybernetic Augmentation.)
>You need to upgrade your phone, Mate.
<Fuck off.
(Somehow that made other people in the shop laugh..)
omg, I swore at someone loudly because I was wearing a mask to hide my identity.
Then again, that guy was being a cunt to a Battler.

The disadvantaged driving license program was a bust, and kicked off it today for not being test-ready after only 7 hours of actual driving experience, because, like, I don't know anyone with a car to practice with inbetween the once-a-month lessons. Expected it though, when the 'service provider' turned out to be a for-profit, and I knew I'd be shafted again.
I emailed a non-profit provider guy (whose program was only for under-21s, being tied to a Youth Services thing) and asked if he knew of any over-21s training schemes.. He was actually a lot more considerate than anyone I've been in contact with to date, and would ask around.
But.. no plans of what to do next. I really want to complain to the RMS who oversee the DLAP and tell them the for-profit guy is cream-skimming and leaving the really-disadvantaged applicants behind (and being a Boong who is using it as another Government Free Money).

<Subject: Free daytime data during lockdown
<Dear Anonymous,
< In light of the lockdown in New South Wales, we wanted to do our part, however big or small, to help support our customers.
< For those on a limited data NBN plan, we are providing free unlimited daytime data (6am-6pm) and hope this helps with working and schooling from home.
< Free unlimited daytime data has already been activated, since Saturday, for our limited data customers in New South Wales and will remain in place until Midnight, July 9 (or until the lockdown ends, if it is extended beyond July 9).
The NEETs who only have the cheapest 100GB/month plans to save monies rejoice.
Just checked the bandwidth stats, and it is still in effect..
EXTERNAL LOCKDOWN plz.

I live in a low socioeconomic area. That shit already happens.
The Sunday night before last, there was a big Family Street Fight involving the fucked-up Teenage Parent neighbours and another house of teenage ice addicts.
Teenage parents: they're 19.. the kid is about to start school… perhaps, because he's screams and swears like his turn-it-up-to-15 mongrel family who carry on like they're always bashing someone in a McDonalds.
Chatting with an old neighbour, we're unanimous that the kid is doomed.

The now-mandatory check-in at Supermarkets thing is getting to me.
Been pondering options for foraging. https://fallingfruit.org/ is pretty useful, however there's only so much lemons and blackberries in a diet.
Being a Pensioner I have a free fishing permit that doesn't need applying for (just show the pension card).. but can't see any good local public land water sources here.

I got a notice in the post about two weeks ago saying "Dear Rich People, please fill in your form now ONLINE because we're penny-pinching on servers, and it'll help towards getting you double-counted when you're included in someone else's form on the census night", but there's been absolutely zero mention of the Census anywhere since.

Hello NEETs, PostieNEET here.
After the 2 years of being fucked-over by driving instructors, the next period of being inbetween accommodation will be on the Postie again, instead of with a car like I planned. I'll see about dropping photos here when I can.
Given that rents have gone exponential, and food costs have doubled for those of us at the low end, my pensioner income isn't covering the Living-in-a-Rental Lifestyle, so bailing on the place here.
