Is it really that impossible to get a job here in Aus? I'm in Brisbane, just got out of High School, trying to apply for shit like coles, woolies and hungry jacks. How does a country with such a huge service economy have absolutely fucking 0 shit-tier service jobs for young people, or is there just some reason they don't want to hire me? I just want minimum-wage work for fuck's sake.
How do I go about getting even the most basic job in existence in this country?

Your first mistake is trying to apply for jobs like fast-food/supermarkets. They'd prefer to hire 15 year olds who they can pay less rather than having to employ an adult. Look at other places outside of those categories.

Get your forklift ticket and do some shit-kicking labour jobs. Eventually you'll get on the fork, and then you'll be right. Loads of night work too with good penalty rates. There's always jobs in warehousing and logistics, until they automate the whole transportation industry, but I don't see that happening for at least 10 years.
