"In Scandinavia thunderstones were frequently worshiped as family gods who kept off spells and witchcraft. Beer was poured over them as an offering and they were sometimes anointed with butter."

Do you keep and honour a housegod, the cutest of deities?

Yes. I've been thinking about building it a little house Jap style, although I'm not sure what it should look like or what kind of wood to use.

I'd suggest you build it in the traditional style of buildings of wherever you happen to live.

I want to carve some stones but hammering a chisel would be too loud for my apartment building. We do have a Dremel, and diamond coated drill bits are pretty cheap for them if buying generic brand bits. I can decorate small stones with fine detail if using a Dremel. I think I'll have to pass on butter anointing due to insects.
