"Alpha" means a lot of things, though in my opinion the average anon on 8chan has a far better definition than whatever the fuck anyone else could come up with. Simply being masculine, manly, dependable, strong, and assertive and necessarily aggressive are positive traits to have in general. I for one really enjoy being all that and doing things in relation to that. The only thing I dislike is the image of "alpha" as described by nu-males and feminists, which is either ironically the strawman they've created, or an obedient unfeeling robot with a dildo attached.
In porn, masculine guys who match that strawman are common, but I blame the fact that porn has always been geared towards how hard the woman is being fucked and how much bigger and stronger the guy is.
