Question: What are people’s thoughts on wearing in public? Do you think it’s appropriate/acceptable to do so?
My girlfriend and I have recently started incorporating ABDL scenes more in the bedroom, which has been amazing. Right now her main limit is wearing in public. She claims being covertly diapered around others (assuming it is done for primarily sexual purposes) would serve to violate those exposed’s right to consent, even if they never are made explicitly aware of the scenario occurring. She even equated the practice to that of a person covertly masturbating on the subway, which I personally think is a stretch.
I struggle with this though because my belief has always been that wearing in public is fine as long as no one knows about it. But I’m also wondering if I should just accept this as a limit of hers and leave it be, given the other ground we’ve covered with this fetish already. I have been recently been wearing diapers while going out to bars. It makes it a lot more fun since i dont have to keep going to the restroom. Looks aside you're right. I was going to ask if they were at some big event or if that was just a normal outing for them. It's totally the life, I'm 24/7 and have a CG so I'm a little jelly of their not giving a fuck but there's no way in hell either me or my CG would do what they did in those pics haha. I'm ambivalent.
The most important element, intent, is difficult to determine. Like taking pictures at a swimming pool is innocent enough, but taking them so you can wank to the bare feet later changes it to a perversion and all the other bad connotations.
Same with diapers, an innocuous incontinence aid or fetish fuel, they're only different because of intent.
It's tough, and this is just the bureaucracy, not the larger question of decency, but I think the two are linked. If people believe they can get away with it then they will sure as hell try. Maybe an emergent social movement will take them under their wing and grant them the status of protected minority, all they'd ask in return is to recite the line "I am victimised", who wouldn't take that deal?
But yeah, I don't know. I understand the conflict between keeping your private life private, and a kink for public humiliation. Self-actualisation is high on Maslows hierarchy.
As far as kinks go it's on the lower end of harmful, it could cause friction in relationships, or it could be the seed of anothers kink if they're at that age, multiplying the friction problem needlessly.
Pragmatically, it's not a big or important enough issue to address, and if that ever changed then the decision would be made for us anyway.
