Question: What are people’s thoughts on wearing in public? Do you think it’s appropriate/acceptable to do so?
My girlfriend and I have recently started incorporating ABDL scenes more in the bedroom, which has been amazing. Right now her main limit is wearing in public. She claims being covertly diapered around others (assuming it is done for primarily sexual purposes) would serve to violate those exposed’s right to consent, even if they never are made explicitly aware of the scenario occurring. She even equated the practice to that of a person covertly masturbating on the subway, which I personally think is a stretch.
I struggle with this though because my belief has always been that wearing in public is fine as long as no one knows about it. But I’m also wondering if I should just accept this as a limit of hers and leave it be, given the other ground we’ve covered with this fetish already. That said, I’m sure there are 24/7 wearers out there who would fundamentally disagree so I’m wondering if there are any ways that people have worked through this question, either with a partner or on their own.
Note: Of course, should a person need to wear diapers for strictly or even primarily incontinence related reasons, this particular argument would not apply.

Looks aside you're right. I was going to ask if they were at some big event or if that was just a normal outing for them. I'm ambivalent.
The most important element, intent, is difficult to determine. Like taking pictures at a swimming pool is innocent enough, but taking them so you can wank to the bare feet later changes it to a perversion and all the other bad connotations.
Same with diapers, an innocuous incontinence aid or fetish fuel, they're only different because of intent.
It's tough, and this is just the bureaucracy, not the larger question of decency, but I think the two are linked. If people believe they can get away with it then they will sure as hell try.
