Anyone ever seen Minecraft Bedrock edition glitch out this badly, or did my tablet just catch some weird malware?
I started a completely fresh world today. No mods, no marketplace addons, nothing. The world generation totally broke—I spawned directly at Y: -62 right against bedrock, trapped in a 1x1 hole. The blocks directly above me were completely replaced by this moving, pulsing red texture that looked like liquid. Right before my game totally froze, a text prompt popped up at the bottom of my screen reading "get out of the blood." It wasn't standard chat text; it looked like an hardcoded system message or a subtitling bug.
The app crashed immediately after. I went digging into my Android device directory (KFTUWI > games > com.mojang) to see if my world save files were corrupted, and things got weirder.
All the standard behavior, world, and resource folders were there, but there was a folder at the end just named "tmp". I didn't think much of it at first since apps use temporary folders all the time, but the "date modified" on it was listed as January 1st, 1970 (the Unix epoch glitch).
Every single time I try to tap on the "tmp" folder to see what's inside, my file manager app instantly crashes and force-closes. I tried to just wipe the whole com.mojang directory, but the system gives me a "file in use / permission denied" error. The worst part is checking my tablet's actual system storage. My available space is actively draining by about 100MB every few minutes, but the displayed size of the Minecraft folders stays exactly the same.
Whatever crashed my game is writing hidden data directly to my storage and I can't stop it. Has anyone ever run into a database loop bug like this on Bedrock, or should I just factory reset this thing before it bricks?
