I'm watching the video on George Hotz… Very interesting…
I'm thinking about how Mario does all this stuff to juggle turtle shells and etc and it ends up injecting a payload into the simulation that then gets rendered to the screen… Makes me think of sympathetic magick… Especially when you consider that writing code from within the simulation probably wouldn't look like javascript, or even 1s and 0s, us programs would probably perceive finished code as fully formed objects within our world (or possibly our mind). So maybe our imagination might can be used as a code editor? Mystics certainly thought so… Now it's just a matter of injecting a payload from the imaginal realm into the simulation…
What if with sympathetic magical systems, like voodoo, they are using, say, a voodoo doll, to create a "program" in their mind and then they are using some kind of ritual to induce a state of consciousness that can inject their program into the RAM of the simulation and run it?
Kind of like fucking with the doll is creating the payload, and then the intention (possibly?) injects that payload into the simulation? Idk, it's hard to tell with so much new age bullcrap muddying the waters of how this stuff was actually done but I think that if there is a way to hack the system, and someone discovered it, they would have called it magic…
