I’ve read the posts and comments. Frankly I find Laptop is really overreacting to all of this. Piracy like this have been going on since forever and realistically isn’t affecting his total income by that much. Those who find his works worth paying for are already paying him and will continue to do so, even if all his content can be found scattered on “obscure” sites. The total amount of dedicated pirates is slim and let’s face it, they weren’t planning on paying him anyway. Not to mention how helpful chanboards in general have always been for people to discover new artists, artists who some do find worth supporting…

I've been around awhile, few things to be said.
When Patreon first started up and a bunch of artists began selling their wares on the platform, it converted places like DA, DT, and Aryion from social networks where people shared ludes to advertising networks for artists seeking an income.
There were a lot of people who thought selling what most people would consider garbage on the network was a good idea and more than a few scams occured; more than a few removed public libraries and posted them for sale. This is why places like yiff got started initally, and you see discussions here about some of them. The problem here is a centuries old one.
The reason porn stars don't make a lot of dough is the same reason why Fetish artwork can be very hit and miss; you can put on a show but you aren't everyone's cup of tea. The artists, like porn stars, go through an intitial phase of self-enamorment, followed by distrought disengagement when they peak and try to understand the business and their place in it going forward. Eventually, they begin learning the secrets of the industry and begin treating it like a business. This is why successful camgirls tend towards facetuning themselves like anime characters\towards baby faces; people fill in the details of the face however they like and it helps attract more business. One night I saw a camgirl with over 10k people in chat dressed up as a Kardashian; everyone's different, it's a difficult way forward for many of them.
Laptop's works have been pirated since probably what, 10 years ago or so? I forget when Patreon first came out. Used to be on torrents and RG links then this board and a few others if you went looking; yiff is the first form of automation and won't be the last BTW.
Financial times for many are tough right now; Getting angry about the free advertising that's always been there is the wrong way to go about it.
The advice I have is, if you're treating this as a hobby, then people sharing your works is a compliment and is probably the drive that causes people to go to your patreon. If you're treating this like a business, you should hire a consultant (brothel owners and managers, online reputation managers, other artists, etc) and treat it like an opportunity. Plenty of money to be made if you work the game right.

It is me, and that's a boatload of excuses. You can say whatever you want but it's still pirating and passing around my artwork without my permission. It has nothing to do with people getting it for free and me not making "as much money". It's about I don't fucking want my shit passed around like this.
I'm happy with what I get from Patreon and I'm always stunned that I actually do get it. I could give a fuck about having more money. But what I have a problem with is people taking control of my artwork while I'm still active. I'm sorry but if you don't make anything and don't have any followers you'll never understand how infuriating it is to come across people like yourselves who shamelessly pirate your work and then make excuses on why it's ok.
Believe it or not I don't want more followers. Think of it this way. This is a hobby I like to do. In order to do it I have to still be able to eat food and pay rent if I'm spending this much time making it. Beyond making what I need to (which I am) I don't want massive amounts of people to see it. If it gets passed around without me knowing it and to people who aren't necessarily fans or friendly than the more likely I am to not make any more of it.
Make all the excuses you want to to make yourself feel better about this. But I'm furious with the gall of this site and others like it.

With this community I think what captures a lot of artists in a recipe and a brand is their own mental illness; while pornography is largely subjective, vore is fundementally a form of anti-social self harm. When your brand becomes a shared communal metal illness, innovating and change becomes very difficult. It's easy to offend others.
There'll always be niche space in the industry for a brand and a recipe, but people who captivate and put out innovative works consistently will always have suitors and that adaptability is the real secret to unlocking a lot of revenue. There are Niche comedians like chris rock and devito, and then there are guys like Robin Williams, who could go from an innocent joke to something real dirty in seconds, on the fly. Adaptibility and sheer creativity is what set them apart and it's like a muscle. The more you flex it the better you get.
