Things that need testing/investigating
Skill Rates: I know theyre tuned too high, ill look into lowring how much skill you gain for doing anything. Characteristics ive already touched and will be 1/2 as fast as they are on the test serb
- Fight skill gains: how fast can you get to 70 and what you gain off what kind of mob. All gains tick twice so I can make gains 50% slower immediately if need be
- Bounty: hand in hand with the above, what money do you gain from monsters, you should be able to check bank balance from your character
- Archeology: i have some mods installed but i dont think anyone is interested in archeo to begin with unless i really pump up the loot like maybe adding in moonmetals. I need opinions for this one
- Tranny Rods: yes you can make adamantium and glimmer veins but they only come with 50 hits in them. Thoughts?
- are you abled to lead a unicorn without taming and can you hitch it? maybe give it equipment?
- people appearing as enemies: already fixed
- Deeds: can you make a deed outside kingdom influence? will guards prevent decay without tower chaining?
- weapons balancing: anything seem out of place? wrong? strong? weak? ill get some people together so they can duel it out eventually
- fishing: theres one person total who fishes, how is it?
- hitchlimits: ill spawn a couple HHs for someone to tie to a cart and see if there are any problems
- meditiation: what are your gains? i fucked up editing some of the mods but gains should be 30 min apart on server actual and some 3x faster (but medding is too fast) it really doesnt bother me if someone gets rank7 quickly since these serbs arent lasting forever
- faith: gains should be some 3x, take note of when you stop getting 3 full points and when gains start dying off. i think gains should be 1hr apart but let me know if theyre not
- treasure maps: can you find any from performing actions? can you find and open the chest? supposedly it can give high tier rewards
notes on skill gain: it looks like i'll have to change each skill's difficulty individually which means im going to need some data on a shitton of skill gains. il keep my eye out for a setting i missed but this is what it looks like for now. time to find some default skill values

ive changed weapon balancing, 2h weapons are relative to eachother, 1h weapons are relative to eachother. you can examine a weapon and it may tell you what its damage and swing values are. at least it does for me

new server development: found out champions drop various items like copper pickaxes and adamantium butcher knives and masks of shadows of varying material and quality, but can also drop 0.40 kg of either adamantium or glimmersteel
with 50k mobs on the server and 65% of them are aggressive, a mob has 1/250 chance to spawn as champion so about 130 champions on the map, would this be ok to leave in or should i look into removing champs dropping this stuff?

Killed a regular wolf in MR and got 1c 32i I think, can do more with more accuracy on this when I wake up.
I'm deffo going to do archaeology on the official serb as it pays off later on with enchanted items and stuff you can't usually get like masks, you find fragments of items, buff them up and then combine them, it's cool if there's a few people doing it contributing to a pile of fragments too, feels a bit like obsessively collecting cards, with every action wither adding to arch or restoration you get better as you go and so more impressive pieces come out, get some powda up your nose and you're flying, by about 70 last serb there were some shit-hot (if quite bizarre) items we'd cobbled back together.

Sexy treasure chest contents are ok, anything to up the number of saccables a bit would be good. I did notice the contents were rotting though, is there any way to preserve them? Maybe by making treasure chests act like magic ones? I dunno how readily modifiable that shit is. As long as the weight/amount of uber rewards are low like fragments of scales that we could accumulate then it wouldn't be too bad, that plus actual dragon harvests would give us/me a chance to make something out of them that the rank and file could use instead of storing unusable scraps till the serb dies.
Plz let us make/obtain pauldrons and masks (although you can put masks together through archaeology so that's ok), any/all of the weird add-on shit that's available too, champ statues, taxidermy kits holiday bonus stuff etc. I didn't see how much of this is covered by the serb mod but I know there was some new things I missed. Yes give it a whirl, we tend to get going pretty quick once we've established a deed so even getting in early it can look a bit daunting and feel like you're playing catch-up but don't be put off by anyone who's already kicking ass at something you decide to take up, you may not get the primo jobs but you'll be useful eventually, make a cart and house, work for yourself for a while then see where you can fill in or just do your own thing, relief guys are handy when grindfags are out of town or busy on something hueg and you might end up taking over a job no-one else thought of when an oldfag burns out and leaves a vaccum, also you can make some shit hot items early on with fluke creations. Producing a lot of shit makes smiths of any stripe useful to the town as their cast offs can be used by everyone and every time you make and improve something you get better at it so your output improves.
Carving knives are a good example a novice blackmsmith can fluke create a 40ql+ carving knife that will keep most people happy until a weapon/bladesmith can grind their skills to improve it beyond that point (which classically took a while). Doesn't work for everything a lot of stuff is tied directly to your skills but the more people are making stuff the more chances we'll get some good shit and the longer they last.
Mining will make you want to kill yourself eventually and it's always a pisser when a top quality carpenter leaves cos we can't get bitching furniture.

I need input on what everyone wants for starter gear. right now its 20ql leathe, and a short sword all of which will quickly get replaced
20ql basic tools (hatchet, saw, knife, pick, shovel, no rake)
100 toolbelt, 10 backback, 20 compass, 20 flint
and a 5 bowl and 10 rope that are not starter items

Yes the start was grim but it wasn't long before the wheels got going, ultimately the 8k serb was only bad cos it was hueg, empty and full of fuck off slopes that were a goddamn heart-attack inducing nightmare when being chased by hhs and their troll mate all the way home after spending an eternity just getting far enough out to find something interesting enough to bring back. That was that maps 'charm'.
Fine, still have skills set to zero and no gibs armour.
At the very most:

Flint and steel
Rope
Compass
Crude pick
Crude knife
Crude hatchet
and that is a fucking care package for babies.

if you want an empty start, then trash all your starting items
there are a lot of issues that come up with a zero-item or even crude start, such as ores being hidden from livemap/ESP and needing actual prospecting to find, which would be a pain with a shitty pick that can't be repaired, and most tiles not being forageable for a few hours after the server first starts
also, pretty sure wurm has a minimum skill value of 1
