So many timed exclusives in the first half. Blue Fire looks like generic ninja wall jumping game I've seen a dozen times. It's from Argentina so I guess I shouldn't expect much. Baldos clearly ripped the Ni no Kuni/ Ghibli art style. Since the developers are from Italy, they're probably on lockdown at this time hiding from corona-chan. I Am Dead seems like it might be an okay puzzle game. Bio-Interstellar Ark: B.ARK looks like a fun shmup. Cyanide & Happiness Freakpocalypse might be alright but that skit was cringe. Summer in Mara looks comfy. Hopefully it's not leaning too hard on the environmentalism.
Quantum League reminds of that other Nintendo switch shooter I forgot the name of where you can enlarge your opponents limbs. Doesn't look good and the guy has a severe case of bedhead. Interested in The Good Life mostly because of SWERY. The Last Campfire looks okay. Wary because it's Hello Games developed. Also for this type of game, atmosphere is key so it better not have actually singing or comprehensible lyrics for it like the trailer does. Not that interested in Pixel Junk 2 since I've seen this type of game before and I'm not talking about the previous game.
Faeria actual looks like an idea of a game that I'm working on but not that interested because of the card mechanics. Eldest Souls is another dark souls like game so it might be passable. Exit the Gungeon looks like fun so I'll probably get that. Then there was that indie dump of rejected games from other consoles. Only thing interesting was Sky Racket since the other games you likely wouldn't care to play anyway or play on a better platform. Can I call it a shmup if the main mechanic is returning the shots instead of shooting them? Don't like the main characters looks but everything else looks as funky as I'd expect of this type of game. I thought i saw a Stadia game on there but it's just a really similar game called Moving Out instead of Stadia's Get Packed. There are times where I see the indie scene just as uninspired as the AAA scene. Direct was very so-so overall.

No, they really aren't. The idea of playing on a PC is completely foreign to consolefags. I honestly doubt Hatsune Miku games come on PC for instance even if that's not beyond the realm of possibilities, the latest Idolmaster is for example announced at the cost of being-locked however. While PC porting in general has greatly improved over the recent years, it's still possible to find a few bad apples like DJMAX Respect which replaced some modes to online gimmicks as well greeting you with the Xingcode3 rootkit.
In my case, most of the games I liked/wanted to get on PS4 turned to be on PC months or years later and they were handled with care. Still waiting for the Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice games to come on PC though

The only thing interesting is that SSDs will become standard and I can't help but wonder when PC games will start saying that they require SSDs to run. If open world games had to handicap player movement speed so that mechanical drives in consoles could keep up, but are now going to be designed around the SSD speeds of consoles, what does that mean for games that also come out on PC? The keynote talked about how their SSD compares to M.2 drives.
So, will I have to add an M.2 if I want to play next-gen open world games? I have a SATA SSD and a hybrid drive, are either of those fast enough to play these games? Will these games dynamically limit player speed depending on what type of storage it's running off of? Will these games do the ugly 90's PC game thing where it won't even let you boot up the game if you don't have a a fast enough drive?
M.2 drives are expensive as shit, costs $80 for a measly 500GB and I get the feeling that 100+GB is going to be the number we see a lot when game sizes are announced. So for $80 I'll be able to hold 3-4 bloated games because the developers don't know shit about file compression.

Because you're not the competition retard since they already own you on Windows OS and you were never going to buy a console. The only competitors to the Xbox is Sony and Nintendo and having realized that, made the smart decision of just releasing the exclusives to PC as well so they can take your money that would otherwise be inaccessible if it was a pure Xbox exclusive. This gives them a revenue stream that Sony doesn't have meaning they can just sit here and win the war of attrition.
Make no mistake the Xbox will be sold at a loss that will be more than made up with Live subs, PC games sales, xbox game sales, and game pass subs. There's a reason why Sony is experimenting with porting their exclusives to PC as well, and waiting on Microsoft to release the price because they will need that revenue to make up for the loss on hardware sales.

Considering how bloated game sizes get, this will either get devs to optimize disc space to lessen the blow until SSDs prices get driven lower, or they will just say "just spend 250 on a 1tb SSD XDDDDDDD" and we'll suffer until prices get driven lower. Also for the PS5 at least it looks like this loading speed shit will only be good for PCI-E gen4 NVMe SSDs.

Can emulate every home nintendo system up to the Wii. Haven't tried WiiU or switch … yet. Can emulate PS1 and PS2. Can emulate sega genesis. Can emulate the handhelds that actually liked, and matter. Fuck, there's even been work on PS3 emulation, where it sounds like at least Demon's Souls works out of the gate. It is actually more difficult to run some 90s PC games that haven't been ported to GOG.
