Decided to give the game a try, and it's quite comfy, playing MA Marignon right now and I haven't figured out a way to make use of battle mages, considering I can either just make a bunch of fireball spewing staffs and give it to them or just wait till I get good spells for them to shit out.

Will give MA Ermor a try next, I wonder if their reputation holds up.

MA Ermor is a tad overrated, the real cheese is probably MA Pangaea. Both are good fun through. The main thing about MA Ermor is that because they're so popular and their domain is so toxic, everyone research more into how to stop them, and tend to rank them higher on the threat list than the class whose threat is not as obvious like giants and satyrspam.

Enable multi turn moves and warn on end turn in Preferences, to free you from microing every commander every single turn for the former and warning whenever one of your commanders is idle for the latter.

the ? key will show a bunch of commands while in the overmap.

After that, you'll have to find out how you wanna do things, like crafting items that increase your magic level so that you can summon something that has a higher skill level than your previous caster, figuring out what battle spells your mages will cast in battle, screwing around with bless effects, like Xibalba with the Death Explosion Bless effects on your summoned sacred bats, essentially making them suicide bombers.

There is the manual too, but I haven't read it.

MA Ermor can snowball into being really strong, it can cast burden of time to fuck most races over beyond itself and some of the lovecraftian stuff and it's domains poison things around it. So even if it's not in a position to win the game or kill you, it's mere existance is a threat to you in most cases.

Some commanders can move further than others so if you have one of those they could work well. You could just build up a second army in your territory and have the two meet or do separate things. Or just build up troops and have your main army pick them up when needed. Some of that might alleviate the issue at least.

Just be aware that if the troops can't they will be left behind.

What I do is often just recruit stacks and have a commander ferry them to the front. Remember you SHOULD be making multiple castles at some point so by recruiting every turn you can get a good stack going. Then just supplement it with occasional pulls from the capital.

I am also retarded so maybe this way sucks.

I mean a way to reduce the amount of real-life time I spend micromanaging my troop production. Once a few dozen turns pass, the vast majority of my turns are moving commanders around to round up and distribute my soldiers. I was looking for a way to queue up orders for commanders to go to a province, remove the maximum amount of troops from the garrison, move to another location, and deposit troops into the garrison.

It's a feature I've seen in other games I've played via e-mail, like Space Empires V, and I used it in that game constantly to ferry fighters through wormholes, but I can't find out if that sort of thing exists here. I have anywhere from 4 to 6 commanders that require turn-to-turn orders for the sole purpose of transporting soldiers to forward locations. So far, I haven't figured out how to queue orders for anything other than two consecutive move orders.

They might run out of money at about the same time it seriously affects the troop composition, against the AI at least, I don't know but it is always interesting. Players that can affoard to usually just switch to long lived units and summons as much as possible so the change happens way sooner, if a dispell does not seem likely and conquest is not an option.

Also blitzes are being played at least weekly between anons, /domg/ does not rely on a specific imageboard anymore at all considering last year's shittery. Anons are elsewhere, but it would require chinese botware. What type of sacred are you using?

Get HP if you're going to be mainly using this bless for thugs or SC material, that would like the extra HP boost so your regeneration goes up the appropriate tick.

Get Blood Surge as your generic non-incarnate buff for sacreds with a high kill rate or mages

Strength for your sacreds that are small and want to deal death blows, and you're not wanting to wait for surge to activate.

Blood Bond you'll want for your high HP sacreds, or very easily massed sacreds so they can survive waves of attack magic. Often paired with regeneration.

Blood Vengeance is best used on sacreds that are easily massed and you want to soak up hits from mages, or are going to be chaff in general (like flagellants)

Unholy weapons is shit like most weapon blesses, don't bother with it.
