I thought we could use a thread like this since it's so hard finding a translator these days. Might as well grow a bunch in house.

What's your general skill level by the way 8/u/? Also post any untranslated manga/doujin images you want to see people amateur translate.

I can read a little katakana and hiragana and I know the programs for looking up various kanji etc. So I'm pretty shit but maybe we got some anons here who know better.

My katakana can be fuzzy sometimes, but I can read hiragana just fine, and I know a couple of common kanji from seeing them enough in raws. I'm currently stalling at level 2 in WaniKani since I've been meaning to look at Tae Kim and Genki, so I'm also beginner-tier

I'd like to keep this thread alive. It's a very good thing to learn Japanese. Not only can you read all the yuri material that isn't translated at all, but you can re-read all the things that have incredibly bad translations. It doesn't take years to start reading either. I read my first volume of yuri manga about 2.5 months after I started studying (I had only finished Tae Kim, the wanikani anki deck, and a set of graded readers), and even though it was slow going, I was able to enjoy it and follow it with a high degree of comprehension.

I guess I'd say "intermediate." I've read 9 LNs, 2 VNs, and two adult novels (as well as a lot of manga). It's pretty rare for me to find a sentence I can't understand or a grammatical construction I don't know, but I still have to look up words in the dictionary quite often.

I took Jaapnese for 2 years at college, until I realized you don't learn languages at college. I used Tae Kim's blog, but I quit studying after visiting Japan (がっかりした(´Д` )) and I rely on Kanji Tomo to get by. I can read LNs or VNs with a dictionary, but it might take a while if it gets difficult, and I have to recheck my work a lot because passive can easily make me reverse the meaning.

Can't get the motivation to memorize like I used to unless I decide to move to Japan. It isn't worth it. Japanese are racists.

Sugoi. You sound pretty decent at the language. And yeah, pretty much all Asian countries are racist to a degree. Gwailo, Gaijin and the like. They see foreigners, particularly white people like that the way white people see Muslims.

Might dump a short six page doujin in here and see if you guys can help me translate it.

I'll post the japanese from the doujin itself (hiragana, katakana, kanji) to speed things along (a few characters I had a hard time figuring out just cause author uses the near exact same character at multiple points but sometimes the exact way it's typed is odd) - when I tried translating it last I didn't have the skill and frankly you all sound better than me.

I'll see about translating the ez stuff too.

You probably didn't need to OCR it. It's easier just looking at the manga itself and if you're at a level where you can read this fine it's no real trouble typing out stuff if you were to need to look up a word or something.

I actually hand wrote that by comparing the image with a doc. I was kinda using it to practice hiragana/kanji recognition.

Okay I had just kind of guessed it was OCR because of some of the mistakes.

All or most of the ー were replaced with 一, one with |. All the っ were replaced with つ. Most of all this one made me think OCR: イ４ユハ味. 4 doesn't belong in the middle of a word, イチゴ味 is what that one was. There's some more but those stood out most to me.

That's my own inability to recognize some of the characters at the time I tried this - I handtyped this (used Kanji Tomo for the Kanji) for the most part cause I was trying to practice using Microsoft IME.

Works as a clothing designer. "Juliet," her spider-themed Teen brand, is popular. Uses Mikoto as her exclusive model.

Another thing is editing the images so that BO knows where to place the text when it isn't immediately obvious just to speed things along.

Oh yeah, good catch. I missed the さ and read it as して貰わんと. Not sure I agree with the first part of your translation though. させてもらう・させていただく　are basically just ways of saying　する. Literally "receive the favor of being allowed to." I would just translate this as "take it easy," without any other qualifiers.

Sorry I often don't actually write out the full sentence when I make corrections, so for example when I wrote "…when our/my application goes through; once we receive approval…" the ellipses was omission of the part of the sentence that didn't need correction. I don't know if there was any other incomplete lines like that included, I don't have time to look over the full pastebin.
