Well, felting involves poking wool with a needle for hours until the shape is right.
Conversation maps involve you trying to put yourself in the mindset of another person, which, in my case, I don't understand too well. That, and try to make sure that the choices matter, at least.
So yeah, at least the goal and destination of felting is very clear. The goal of conversation mapping is clear, but the destination is ambiguous and I never know it until I go into it.
Even now, I'm sitting in front of a mostly blank screen, with some notes about how the other relationship links tie into this one, but that's kind of it.

I used to listen to Spoony's Counter Monkey stuff back before he fell into depression and started dating an SJW. There were a lot of times when the players would do dumb things and inadvertently take control of the story.
I think embed related and part two were the most interesting example of that.
If I was less autistic about human interaction, and leaving my room didn't lead to mental breakdowns, this is the type of shit I'd hope to happen in stories - something where the DM is put completely on the spot and has to craft a completely new narrative in the old world.
Though, every character that every character that I have ever written as the player was always socially outcast in some way. Some ended up better than others, but that's to be expected of course.
That, and I'm not allowed to play an autistic school idol that molests her classmates and friends and gets away with it.
Yeah, it's dumb, but I gotta do it. It's made worth it whenever I have fun ideas. Heh. Reminded me of that one moment, it may have been the very first or perhaps second session of that group, which consisted of an experienced DM and 4 players completely new to RPGs. And the wizard told them he couldn't find out what it did, but that it was magical and dangerous. And one of the guys asked whether it was indestructible. "Indestructible? No. Well I mean, for all I know it might be, I didn't find out whether it was or not." And the player picked it up, raised it above his head and let it go. "Well. It wasn't indestructible that's for sure." And after the session, the DM went "Uhhh….. five hours of preparation, man…."

General tips for team building are thinking of what works together well. If nothing else, you should at least try taking a break. I realized DXM was causing me to feel depressed (cause I was using too often) so its been 3 weeks + 2 days since I've done it. Im not planning on quitting altogether, but time away from it does nothing more than good for me
