The reason why this is such a bullshit method of making money? Its not peer to peer. Its player to server. So basically the money is generated out of nowhere with absolutely 0 physical assets to back it. So it over inflates the fuck out of the economy they hold so near and dear. It also involves no risk.
Let's look at Runescape, for example. You have to start out with like 2 mil to "abuse" the p2p economy. (in this case, the grand exchange)
On top of this, you have to be proficient. Knowing when to sell your items and at which price.
There is an unavoidable risk, however, it can be mitigated through smart marketing
With this minecraft server, it takes like 10 minutes of reading how to exploit this system. Then
