I'm surprised that dragon equivalent of planetouched isn't a thing.

>Personal stories
My first erection came because I saw an illustration in a book of someone riding a dragon with no saddle or reins, though it looked uncomfortable, and tried to emulate it with a pillow to see if it was. Since it basically amounted to straddling the pillow and grinding my dick against it, it turned out to feel good in a way I didn't understand at the time. I've found dragons and other reptilian fantasy races attractive ever since.
Is that too personal a story?

Well, in D&D metallic and chromatic dragons are natural enemies who's personalities are always in one extreme or the other. If say a Gold dragon would meet a Red dragon in an open field there is no feasible possibility that wouldn't end in bloodshed.

Not to mention that dragons are so proud they hate everything that isn't their kind, that's also the reason why there are no Copper/Silver or Red/Green mixes.

Well, AD&D had some halfbreed dragons. They were marginally weaker than pureblooded dragons and often sterile.

>Thread is already into lizard fucking by the third post.
Heh.
In all seriousness though and fetishes aside, I've actually got a book of British dragon folklore at home which is actually pretty interesting. It's written as an actual academic work so it mostly focuses on different variations of dragons in stories.
It turns out that most of the stories involving dragons are actually myths invented to explain how assorted noble families got their titles (by killing a dragon) and that spiked armour is apparently recommended dragon-slaying gear. Apparently the idea is that in a lot of British dragon folk-tales dragons would try to wrap themselves around their opponents like snakes or ortherwise physically grapple with their foe and the blades would wound them in combat.
For a more modern take on dragons (and since I'm never going to have a legitimate purpose for posting this link), in 2016/2017 to encourage castle-related tourism Cadw (the Welsh government's "historic environment service") commissioned some fake dragons to tour the various castles of Wales. They also stuck a story on their site giving backgrounds on the dragons, it's not exactly Lord of the Rings but at least it's not porn: https://cadw.gov.wales/fun/livethelegends/the-cadw-dragons-tale/?lang=en

You said 3.5
In 3.5, you can apply the half-dragon template to any corporeal creature, including a dragon.
I suppose a half-gold dragon gold dragon doesn't make much sense but could be like a true pureblooded one with bonus power from its purity, but a half-red-dragon white dragon (a pink dragon? Or would it be zebra'd?) would have immunity to hot and cold, and have a weak fire breath to use on off-turns of its strong cold breath and some more AC and a few stats. Not nearly the advantage a non-true-dragon would gain from the template, but it is still allowed to be applied.

>britbongs install dragons into real medieval castles to make people more interested
Cute, although I'm not a fan of the Day-Glo blue. The one on the left looks like it's getting ready for a nap, which is something I don't see discussed very much: how often do dragons need to eat and sleep?
Funnily enough, another MTG card, pic 3, inspired a long-winded discussion about what classified as a meal to a dragon, and how often it'd need to eat in order to sustain a body of that size.

Maybe it's like a ball python and the scale pattern would depend on the scale patterns of each parent.

There's a Web enhancement showing it, Dragons may assume the Half-Dragon Template for use as half-breeds- I think the recessive half was the White Dragon.

By 35 Lore, Dragons actually always expect you to pay them lip-service regardless of patron dragontype, this is because they perceive anyone talking to them as equals to be challenging them and will stand their ground accordingly. They also Find the smell of common humanoids to be as irresistible.
Next to that, the Ecology of the Hydra Dragon Article reveals Dragons consider them to be the ultimate staple food with scales that release a phermone that actually attracts them and can be synthesized to force dragon encounters In the open. Essentially, If you want to work towards X PrC, magical item, bullshit Dragon artefact you need consent to obtain- this is one way to get in their greedy good books.

Yes.
>Are there Metallic x Chromatic dragon hybrids in general DnD canon?
There were few even Metallic×Metallic and Chromatic×Chromatic. And some of them were results of massive magic fuckups (e.g. Fall of Myth Drannor) or experiments rather than the usual way.
Most were given different habitats, and the few species that fit into one usually aggressively compete for it.
>Suggested Dragon character builds and feats.
Devour Everything (from 3rd party totally-not-scalie handbook).
Seriously, though, there was surprising amount of options.
I guess you could build one for speed + charge vs. aerial opponents (since there's no mid-air counter-charge options)?
