hey /tg/
i need ideas for missions for a Dark heresy campaign that my TTRPG group has elected me to run due to the fact that i know more 40k then the rest of them.
i have a overall plot im mind and i have made a subsector for the purpose of the campaign.
but im haveing trouble comming up mission ideas for the team to do
the overall plot is a major ``peasant´´ upriseing/revolt supported by a major noble house that will try to use it to take power, and they are spured on by Eldar infiltrators whom want to use the revolt as a distraction to sabotage/destroy a titan facility on the main Hiveworld
when the campaign begins the upriseing be in the process of gathering support.

for now the mission ideas i have are
have the team go deal with some cattle thieves on the agri world for a noble
finding missing workers in the underhive
tracking down a new drug that may be heretical
investigating missing weapon supplies
Check on old tech found by Mechanicus
i feel like i need more ideas but i can't really come up with anything

Sounds like you've got most of it already in place OP. How do you plan on linking those four mission ideas together and to the uprising? What's motivating this uprising? What's their overall plan/objective? Are the Eldar actively involved in the uprising or are they just taking advantage of the chaos?

yes i want to spin it all in to one big thing kinda.
the Eldar are the real reason the upriseing is happing but they are working from the shadows to push things along the way they want

Do the Eldar have any reason for the rebellion beyond wanting some cover to hit the titan/forgeworld?
Actually, sorry, just reread your first post - wouldn't a 'titan facility' be the main focus of a forgeworld rather than something you'd find on a hiveworld? The AdMech get pretty protective of the godliest of their god-machines after all. If you didn't want it on a forgeworld you can set it as a Knight outpost on an agri-world (Knights are called out to assist in suppressing the rebellion, leaving their facilities relatively lightly guarded, and open for a smallish strike team).

all the worlds where made with a random roll table. the Titans are only there as a storage base as the titan legion was made by a voidcraft forgeworld. the forge world is lacking the space to store/house the Titans so the Hive world has that job.
but yes a forgeworld would normaly be houseing the Titans

It still feels a bit clunky (random tables do that pretty regularly). As you're including spess elfs you can get away with a fair bit of coincidence - that tends to happen a lot when scrying gets involved. Maybe say that the Titans are passing through the hive world en route to [place], and that the riots and revolts have been arranged by Eldar manipulation to slow them down long enough that their strike team can do enough damage to the titans to be worth it.

You can cheat a bit and make it a γ-class industrial world.
That way it can have a Hive city (or a few but not enough to be called a Hive World. Most "civilized" planets have Hives cities), most of the planet is dedicated to large scale industry (but not enough to be a forge world) and, while independent, it's largely tied to the local forge world and the cult mechanicus (that can explain acting as a titan storage depot).

> titan facility on the main Hiveworld
Shouldn't titan bases be on Mechanicus worlds (not necessarily Forge worlds as such)?
