Stay tuned for…whatever that terrible shit trade servers used to all have was called…
PINION. FUCKING. PINION.
Hurr okay the ad's done playing, now you can close, or it didn't fucking load and the counter finally ended, now it'll continue to play shitty commercial audio even if you leave the server and go back to the game menu. I just blacklisted them all.

YES. THIS SHIT. I AM UPSET.

Valve servers are actually objectively better than easily 80% of community servers.

You faggots always complain about Minecraft, but it was all kinds of fun back in alpha, with a tiny community of college students and only Youtube videos showing new maps, features, and mostly how the fuck to make that terrible way redstone used to work actually useful.
I wish it had stayed shitty and difficult to get into and repelled the general public. I wish faggots had been shot on sight for setting up "kid-friendly" servers so they could be in charge of something and feel like they were living a Christian manga.

Some of the customized Minecraft maps are actually great, lots of warps and hidden areas and scripts.

>some guy comes on a trade server
>starts ripping up our entire team easily as soldier
>starts talking shit on mic about "OH MY FUCKING GOD HOW CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY SUCK THIS DAMN MUCH"
>just keeps ranting and seems super upset about the decline of the 1337 gamers
>I remind him it's a trade server
>"IKNOW BUT EVEN FOR A TRADE SERVER OMG HOW CAN EVERYONE BE THIS BAD"
>continues in this vein
>I finish pawning a few low value stranges I picked up in some other trade
>he's still raging
>tell him it's just a trade server in tf2, not some kind of world championship LoL or something
>he goes off on a massive tirade about MUH TEAM FORTRESS MOD, WELL BACK IN 1999, I TELL YOU HWAT KID, I WAS IN THE COMPETITIVE LEAGUES, TEAM FORTRESS WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE FOR CASUALS, THEY JUST RUINED IT WITH MUH WEAPONS, MUH RANDOM CRITS, HURR DURR DURR DURR
>not responding because I'm frying noobs and use push-to-talk
>he goes on and on
>Finally die, tell him that no one here cares about his nostalgia or how elite he was or how much he thinks it's a tragedy that not everyone who plays TF2 is a HARDCORE GAMERRRRRRR
>his rage increases, he's blasting people left and right
>finds me and comes for me, full health for both of us
>reflect/ride his rockets
>burn him down piece by piece with degreaser because he won't go back to spawn for more health and I or other people are taking the healthkits
>he dies
>rages a little more, says some "congrats kid you got lucky" bullshit
>ignore him and go back to burning and trading
>he kills me like three more times while I'm running after someone else
>I flare him once when he's at low health and running back in
>he stops talking, shows off his 1337 rocketjumps to kill me one last time and just disconnects from the server
Tryhards, man.

>wanting pubs, but not Valve pubs
I just don't know what you're expecting. You go to some Skial or ElitePowered server, occasionally you get some sort of wannabe pro clan training or jerking each other off healbotting, but other than that it's noobs who need something "safer" and "friendlier" than a Valve pub.
I once ran out of spawn as scout, jumped on top of the cart, and stood on top of it taunting as I capped the first two points in a gold rush map with like 6 people on the other team, because the noobs were all busy trying to fight each other over irrelevant ground and not watching the cart. I think someone shot at me while passing once and I took slight damage and knockback but stayed on. It wasn't even like they just didn't care either, they started raging hard when they realized they'd lost their points. Valve pubs are just what everyone loves to hate, but they're the lifeblood of TF2.
